Sky hesitated, his brows knitting together. Frank noticed immediately.
"What is it?" he asked.
Sky sighed.
"I wasn't planning to mention this, but since both you and your son helped me, I'd be failing my duty if I didn't repay you."
His expression darkened.
"Many people are unhappy about what you did, moving almost all the excess funds from the base to relocate here. They're planning to take care of you… and not in a good way."
Frank's eyes narrowed, a sharp glint flashing briefly within them before he masked it.
His shoulders slumped, and his voice grew heavy.
"I know," he said sadly, tears welling up and streaming down his face.
"I made mistakes. I understand that my decisions hurt people."
His voice trembled as he continued,
"But I never took that money for myself. I invested it into ammunition for everyone. Who would have thought the supplies turned out to be fake?"
He clenched his fists.
