"Why is the ground soft?!"
"I'm—I'm bouncing!"
"What the hell—I can't stop!"
Chaos erupted across the training ground. Every Marine suddenly found themselves inside Kuma's domain—the earth itself transformed into one massive paw pad.
Kuma's voice boomed:
"Paw-Paw Domain: Fatigue!!!"
The change was instant.
"Why am I so... tired..."
"Help—can't... stand..."
"Let me sleep... just five minutes..."
Marines who'd been watching with rapt attention moments ago now swayed on their feet. Some collapsed outright—passed out cold on the bouncy ground.
Kai felt the exhaustion try to sink into his bones.
Interesting.
His willpower crushed it like an insect. Barely worth noticing.
"So in normal state, you can repel fatigue from your own body." Kai's eyes gleamed with genuine interest. "But awakened? You can repel energy itself from others. Impressive. What else you got?"
Kuma's face went pale seeing Kai completely unaffected.
He bit down hard. Tasted copper.
"PAW-PAW DOMAIN: PAIN!!!"
This time he repelled pleasure. Left only suffering behind.
The effect was devastating.
"Kai-kun..." Hancock's voice came out breathy, flushed as she draped herself across Salome. "I can't... come help me..."
"DAMN IT!" Moria clawed at the ground, trying to stand. Failed. "What's wrong with me?! Why does everything hurt?!"
"This old man..." Jinbe managed to get upright—barely. Swaying like a drunk. "...will not fall here!"
Crocodile just groaned, curled on his side.
Doflamingo? Still unconscious from earlier.
Even the Warlords—some of the strongest pirates alive—looked pathetic.
The regular Marines were worse.
Kuma stared at Kai in disbelief.
"How are you unaffected?!"
He knew exactly how powerful this combination was. He'd tested it on Dragon himself—the Revolutionary Army's leader, a third-stage awakening user.
Even Dragon had lost thirty percent of his strength inside this domain.
Could Kai be stronger than Dragon?
The thought appeared and Kuma crushed it immediately.
Impossible. That was Dragon. The man who'd opposed the World Government single-handedly and survived. Who'd built the Revolutionary Army from nothing despite constant suppression.
Dragon was Kuma's faith. The reason he'd transformed from brutal pirate to Bible-carrying revolutionary. The cause he'd die for.
No one was stronger than Dragon.
"You've reached the peak of first-stage awakening," Kai observed clinically. "Touching the edge of second-stage. Well done."
He paused.
"Now dismiss the domain."
"NOT YET!!!"
Kuma's roar shook the air.
"PAW-PAW DOMAIN: HUNDRED-FOLD REPULSION!!!"
The training ground swelled. Like someone had pumped it full of air—the entire surface becoming hyper-elastic.
A Marine tapped his foot experimentally.
BOING
Shot ten meters straight up. Came down. Bounced fifty meters. Third bounce? Vanished into a blur.
Then Marines started launching everywhere—human pinballs careening through the air.
Kai tested the ground carefully.
The force feedback was insane. Even his light touch nearly sent him flying.
"Hundred-fold repulsion..." Understanding clicked. "Any force applied gets reflected back at a hundred times the strength."
Kuma's eyes showed relief for the first time.
This was his trump card. Newly developed. Everyone in the domain except him would be affected—unable to move, attack, or defend without launching themselves uncontrollably.
The cost? It burned his lifespan. Like Luffy's Gear Fourth but worse.
But for victory—for the Revolutionary Army—he'd pay any price.
This has to work.
Kai frowned slightly.
"You think this guarantees your win?" His tone stayed calm. Almost disappointed. "Don't be so naive."
His right arm extended. Palm up.
Then flipped.
"STOP!!!"
