Darkness swallowed everything, and even the surroundings were barely visible. The soft sound of the sea waves echoed now and then, mixed with strange noises, noises that seemed to come from the depths of the ocean. Sounds that alone could make any living being shiver in fear.
Daniel had been flying for hours in the same direction he'd chosen, yet he still hadn't reached any sign of civilization, any living creature, or anything that even resembled it.
