Chapter 70 - Chapter 71.

"But you're my contracted demon."Ellis' tone was low with an undeniable undertone, "You know where the line is."

Nyx cocked his head at him for a moment, then suddenly smiled and reached out to poke Ellis in the shoulder, "You don't actually want me to be targeted, do you?"

Ellis was silent for a split second, not denying it.

Nyx narrowed his eyes, a hint of a meaningful smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, "You, you're really getting protective of me."

Ellis frowned slightly, but didn't retort, just turned his head away and stopped looking at him.

Nyx looked at him and his smile deepened, a hint of an elusive emotion surfacing under his eyes.

Upon returning to the dorms, Nyx headed for the couch as soon as he entered and yawned, "Tired enough of tossing and turning today, need to catch up on some sleep."

Ellis looked at him and said lightly, "Don't forget, you still owe me a paper on the socialization system of contracted demons."

Nyx sat up violently from the couch, "What?"

Ellis took out a thick book and placed it on the table, "Since you attended the party, you should get something out of it."

Nyx stared at the book with wide eyes before looking up at Ellis, "You're the devil, aren't you."

Ellis sat down with a look of calmness, "You are."

Nyx: "..."

He stares at Ellis, suddenly narrowing his eyes, the corners of his mouth slowly lifting into a wry smile, "So what if I just straight up rely on not writing now?"

Ellis casually flipped open a book, his tone calm, "Then I can set you up with three extra pieces."

Nyx: "..."

He collapsed on the couch and sighed hard, looking up at the ceiling with a lifeless look, "Was I stupid to agree to go to the party with you ..."

Ellis flipped through the book without stopping, "You just realized that?"

Nyx looked at him through gritted teeth before rubbing his hair fiercely and climbing to his feet to grumble as he reluctantly walked to his desk, "Fine, fine, just write, it's unconscionable ..."

Ellis lifted his head slightly and watched as Nyx sat down, the corner of his mouth ticking a few times imperceptibly.

Sometimes, disciplining a demon still had to be done in the most effective way possible.

Sometimes, Nyx just didn't follow the rules.

The papers that Ellis assigned him, he could either do them perfunctorily or find excuses to delay them, but this time, he simply chose to just swing for the fences.

Ellis stood in front of his desk and looked at him with cold eyes, "You procrastinated for three days."

Nyx lazily lay on the couch, tossing an Abyssal Crystal in his hand, not even bothering to raise his eyelids, "Oh?Yeah?"

"You know."Ellis' tone was calm, but the chill under his eyes gradually deepened.

Nyx finally raised his eyes to look at him, a smile hanging at the corner of his mouth, his tone light, "If you say a few more words, maybe I'll actually write it."

Ellis didn't repeat himself, he just leaned over, picked up a book from the table, flipped to a certain page, and said lightly, "If you don't write it, I can find some other way for you to memorize that part of your knowledge."

Nyx raises an eyebrow, "Such as?"

Ellis closed the book and looked at him, calmly uttering four words, "Magical punishment."

The air was quiet for a split second.

Nyx slowly narrowed his eyes and stared at Ellis, some of the amusement in his eyes disappearing, "Don't you dare."

Without a word, Ellis raised his hand and flicked it, the couch under Nix instantly disappeared, directly causing him to fall to the ground.

After Nix reacted, he sat up violently and stared at Ellis with an unbelievable face, "Ellis! You actually dare to use magic on me!"

Ellis looked at him blandly, "You can keep messing around, I'm patient enough."

Nyx glared at him, looking like he was ready to snap at any moment, yet Ellis just stared at him calmly, his eyes as if waiting for him to give in.
