"You say this now because Lady Tabitha isn't present. You have only recently married into the Castro family, yet you have disrespected Lady Tabitha. It is no wonder that she doesn't think you are suited for the prince. You don't try to follow family tradition," said Faye.
Penelope smiled, amused by the lecture Faye tried to give her. She looked away from Faye since Faye didn't deserve more of her time.
"Lady Laura, I carefully read your invitation, and it said this is a gathering for married ladies. Was I wrong?" Penelope asked, addressing the host.
"No, it wasn't wrong. All but one are married," Laura answered.
"So, I have noticed. Since I am representing the palace, a guest list was sent to my home so I, along with the palace, would know who was in attendance for protection. Yet, that list doesn't appear to be accurate. Do you know there could be consequences for this?" Penelope questioned, looking up at Laura.
