The three of us continued picking quests, but this time, I was the one choosing it. The first quest for the day that I picked was [Defeat Ten Wrathful Wolves that were destroying the peace of a small village. Reward: Fifteen Silver Coins].
The location of this village was located ten miles from the borders of the country Mejina. From what I have heard, Mejina used to be part of our country, but they decided to have their own government and cut ties with us. Our country, Amera, fought to reclaim the territory. But in the end, we lost and the whole world recognized Mejina as an independent country.
The journey took longer as we expected because the Force Gate was undergoing maintenance. So, we had to travel on foot to reach the place. It took us five days exactly to get there, and since it was our break, we didn't have to worry about missing classes.
"We are finally here, damn it. I hate traveling long distance!" Silvera complained about the hundredth time on the way here. Rain was about to say something, when we heard a chorus of screams coming from the village. "Let's go!"
The three of us arrived exactly on time as the ten wolves began pillaging the village. Before they could do harm, Rain conjured Water Bullets that shot the wolves down. Alas, the wolves had a thick fur made of steel that was reinforced with Force. Their eyes turned towards us, making myself swallow my saliva because of the toughness of their exterior layers.
"Of course. They are Ferragorns." I muttered while I activated Blessings. It is a skill that I was able to master thanks to the Welcome Ceremony. It gives buffs to my allies, making them more powerful. But it only lasts for about five minutes and has a long cooldown.
Silvera rushed in first, activating Flaming Aura. A wave of flames spread out from her, heating the Ferragorns' body. Their steel fur was supposed to shield them from the enemy attacks, but now, it has turned against them, slowly burning them from the inside.
Rain conjured Water Wall that surrounded us to protect the villagers from the fight that was about to ensure.
"Please, get to safety. We will handle these things." I said and the villagers nodded.
Meanwhile, Silvera was still in the midst of the Ferragorn's formation, when all of a sudden, one of them blazed in flames. At first, we thought that Silvera's skill was working, but when the Ferragorn bolted like a living missile towards Silvera, the situation changed.
The heating wolves blazed into fiery of flames as well and bolting towards us with such great speed. But Rain conjured Mist Bubbles to shield us from the heat and physical attacks of the Ferragorns.
"This won't be easy." I said.
Silvera roared with her might as she finally unleashed her weapon, Ruler of Flames. She activated her Body Enhancement, coating her weapon and herself with Force. She then burst into action, swinging her weapon that slew its first victim and quickly when to hunt the next one.
Meanwhile, Rain conjured Water Laser. A blast of thick water came out of his palms, shooting them like a laser towards the incoming Ferragorns.
When the Ferragorns realized that they couldn't win, they tried to escape from us. But we never liked leaving loose ends, especially after the events from the Welcome Ceremony. So, we chased them down until none of their kinds were left alive.
