Even Hiruko, a practically invincible opponent, couldn't withstand Kai's casual attack. He certainly didn't believe his aging body could withstand two.
"Alright, enough with the empty words," Kai said, clapping Ebizō on the shoulder, making him feel unexpectedly honored. He then tossed a scroll to Pakura.
"Open this. It might save your life," Kai said flatly.
Pakura instinctively caught it, momentarily stunned. She hesitated, then swallowed the words she was about to speak, bowing her head.
"I'm troubling you again. Thank you."
"Little girl, open this scroll whenever you need. Your boyfriend will appear instantly for a little rendezvous and life-planning session," the Three-Tails interjected unexpectedly.
Seeing the miniature tailed beast peeking from under Kai's cloak, Ebizō was startled. Before he could recover, three more tailed beasts materialized, nearly making his eyes pop out of their sockets.
"Little Three, stop your nonsense! I'm leaving!" Pakura's face flushed crimson as she patted the Three-Tails' shell and fled.
"Haha, little girl, I wasn't kidding. If you want, your boyfriend will definitely show up!" The Three-Tails, unfazed by the insult, laughed heartily, continuing his teasing.
Seeing the now-docile tailed beasts, Ebizō, overwhelmed with surprise, quickly retreated.
To an outsider like him, this lineup was utterly terrifying.
A youth of immeasurable power, accompanied by four tailed beasts.
If they truly unleashed their power, the Five Great Nations would struggle to resist.
The thought tightened Ebizō's heart, a serious expression settling on his face.
If given a choice, he would avoid becoming this youth's enemy.

The spicy dried fish snacks had been a revelation, transforming them from goofy dogs into devoted servants.
A little fur grooming, and they'd be purrfectly content.
The mention of exploding squid filling made their mouths water.
Seeing his tailed beasts behaving so undignified, Kai shook his head, tossing them a spatial scroll before turning to Orochimaru, whose expression was a mixture of anger and uncertainty.
"Don't grab it, the Boss gave it to me!"
"Hey, give me back my exploding squid filling…"
"Oh my god, there's also cold duck neck…"
"Don't grab it, I'm about to explode…"
The tailed beasts' chaotic scramble for the food created a tense atmosphere, which Orochimaru observed with apprehension.
Each tailed beast was a village's most powerful asset. If they fought seriously, it would be a catastrophic event.
"Alright, let's settle this," Kai said, smiling at Orochimaru. "I thought you'd run away."
Orochimaru's attention snapped back to Kai.
Upon making eye contact, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief. I thought you'd hit me with a forbidden jutsu right away.
It seems I still have some use to you.
I was worried you'd also put a space-time marker on me, like that other guy.
"Are you interested in Edo Tensei?"
"Or the Chimera Technique?"
Orochimaru's attitude towards Kai had drastically changed from initial condescension to utmost respect.
Each encounter had been a setback.
Every seemingly foolproof plan had backfired at the crucial moment.
The primary reason was a significant underestimation of Kai's true strength.
"Hehe, Orochimaru, escaping me is simple. Just shed this vessel; it shouldn't be difficult for you," Kai said, clapping Orochimaru on the shoulder.
"I'm not interested in Edo Tensei or the Chimera Technique."
"I only want the research and extraction techniques for wood release cells."
Wood release cell research?
Orochimaru was taken aback, then a surprised smile spread across his face.
"So, you're also interested in human experimentation. Still brooding over how Uchiha Madara was defeated by the First Hokage?"
"Planning to use wood release cell research to analyze the First Hokage's power source?"
Orochimaru's excitement grew with each word, as if he had found a kindred spirit.
"Orochimaru, you make me think you're…well, you know… into men!"
Kai rolled his eyes, fearing Orochimaru might get too handsy.
But then, Kai remembered something crucial, touching his nose sheepishly. "Orochimaru, can I ask you something?"
"Do you…still have…everything… intact?"
Orochimaru's expression froze.
His Edo Tensei was still in its early stages of development. Finding a decent vessel was already a challenge.
As for the…well, that was beside the point, wasn't it?
Seeing Orochimaru's bewildered expression, Kai understood. He patted Orochimaru's shoulder reassuringly. "Don't worry, you're handsome this way. Versatile, even!"

Orochimaru was speechless, nearly spitting out blood.
However, Kai's words were impossible to refute.
Regardless of their absurdity, his strength spoke volumes.
Against someone who had defeated Uchiha Madara and effortlessly dispatched Hiruko with a single move, he dared not act rashly.
After regaining his composure, Orochimaru said with a grim face, "Kai, if I give you the research data, will you let me go?"
Research data was often a scientist's life's work, something they would fiercely protect.
But for Orochimaru, a long-lived scientific genius, this wasn't a significant loss.
His wood release cell experiments hadn't yielded any major breakthroughs. It was, for now at least, essentially useless.
