Minato's face fell, his voice sharp with urgency.
He had recently proposed peace talks with Uchiha Kai.
The failed Five Kage Summit made the situation even more precarious; any significant losses in Takigakure would severely damage his credibility, reputation, and any future strategies involving Kai.
"No…" Fugaku hesitated, awkwardly touching his nose.
"Kai helped Takigakure quell the rebellion. In the end, not only Takigakure, but even the late-arriving Hoshigakure shinobi gave him a farewell procession…"
"If anything, Kai became the savior of both villages!"
Savior? Minato and the others were stunned, completely speechless. Upon hearing the initial news, their hearts had sunk, expecting the worst.
Now, Fugaku was telling them that Kai hadn't destroyed Takigakure, but had become its hero, receiving a farewell parade!
In the Hokage's office, no less. They almost wanted to slap themselves to check if they were dreaming.
"Well, my initial reaction wasn't much different from yours," Hiruzen said, breaking the stunned silence.
"However, there's something else I need to mention."
"According to Kakashi's team and Takigakure's reports, Uchiha Kai's strength has increased dramatically, and he's mastered new dōjutsu!"
Fugaku's expression shifted. The battle in Takigakure had been earth-shattering.
Fortunately, only a few high-ranking Takigakure officials knew that Kai's Kamui originated from Obito Uchiha.
At Fugaku's request, this information had been kept secret. The Uchiha clan already had two overpowered Mangekyō Sharingan users—Madara and Kai.
If the world knew that Obito Uchiha had also awakened his Mangekyō, even Konoha's leadership and the Daimyō would be terrified.
The Uchiha clan's history of rebellion was well-known, and each member was incredibly powerful.
The sudden emergence of so many Mangekyō Sharingan wielders within the Uchiha clan was deeply alarming.

Minato, Jiraiya, and Tsunade all looked grave. Any one of those three dōjutsu was a devastating trump card. Kai possessed all three, and now another? Was this even possible?
This prompted a surge of urgency in Jiraiya and the others.
"You're wrong. He's awakened three more, all related to space-time ninjutsu," Hiruzen said gravely.
In his estimation, a single Mangekyō Sharingan dōjutsu was comparable to a forbidden jutsu. Kai now possessed six. He was practically a walking arsenal of forbidden techniques.
"He's mastered space-time ninjutsu?" Minato's face was ashen. Space-time ninjutsu was incredibly rare.
But those who mastered it were virtually invincible; if they couldn't be defeated, they could always escape.
This was why Minato had been reluctant to teach Kai the Flying Thunder God Technique.
A person with Kai's already terrifying power, mastering space-time ninjutsu as well… unless Kai chose to fight to the death, no one could defeat him.
And who could even push him to that point?
"Minato, you should understand that Uchiha Kai has become an extremely dangerous threat," Hiruzen said gravely.
"He can become intangible, nullify attacks, and transfer attacks from a distance."
"And he can manipulate gravity over a vast area…"
Hiruzen produced a scroll. "This is the intel Fugaku brought back. You'll see just how terrifying this space-time ninjutsu is."
Fugaku? Minato was stunned. Kai was Uchiha; Fugaku shouldn't have leaked this information.
He could have easily made an excuse, and Hiruzen wouldn't have pressed the matter, especially given Kai's power.
"Minato, don't look at me like that. Kai allowed me to release this information. He said life would be boring without challenges."
"But it's only a general overview; the details are negligible. After several encounters, you'll figure it out," Fugaku said with a wry smile.
"A madman! He's truly a madman, beyond our comprehension," Minato said, shaking his head.
"Fugaku, combat provides intel, but only if you survive. Kai allowing you to release this information means we've all been given another chance to live," Jiraiya stated grimly.
A heavy silence fell upon the room, encompassing the Sannin and Hiruzen.
Uchiha Kai's rise to power in just a few months was unprecedented, constantly shattering their expectations.
In a one-on-one fight, no one present could stand against him.
"While Minato has understandably boosted Kai's reputation, I have to admit that the boy is a monster, potentially reaching the level of Madara Uchiha or even Hashirama Senju," Hiruzen said gravely.
"Therefore, to address the global unrest caused by Uchiha Kai, I will personally convene another Five Kage Summit!"
