Chapter 44: Professor Snape, Are You Guarding the Philosopher's Stone?
"It's...it's dead?"
Harry also ceased vomiting. When he turned his head, he saw the troll on the ground not moving at all, somewhat confused.
"It's not pretending to be dead, is it? I've heard these creatures are very cunning!"
"Maybe other creatures are so, but not trolls." Dylan's voice was calm.
Dylan formally used dark magic for the first time. The feeling of unleashing magic power made him a bit intoxicated.
Although with his current magic power, even if he had max-level spells, he still couldn't utilize the genuine power of dark magic.
Nevertheless, in spite of this, he still threw out three skills casually and killed a troll!
"Voldemort above, it's really convenient to use dark magic."
Dylan walked forward.
He opened the stall doors one at a time.
Dylan discovered the fainted Hermione in the third stall.
"Enervate!"
Pink starlight particles gushed out of the tip of the wand in Dylan's hand, enveloping Hermione, who was slumped against the door.
After some time, Hermione's eyelashes fluttered weakly, then she slowly opened her eyes, her mind slowly clearing. She noticed Dylan standing at the door of the stall, and two heads poked out from either side.
"Am I...am I in heaven?"
"Don't worry, Miss Granger. Based on Ron's toxic tongue image of you, after you die, you'll probably go to hell."
Hermione: (.`)…
"Hey! Dylan, you...how can you say that!"
The left head immediately raised and glared at Dylan.
The right head, which wore black-rimmed glasses, also raised.
"Dylan's right. Aren't you going to apologize, Ron?"
Ron's face went bright red, and his eyes flicked to the still confused Hermione.
After a moment, Hermione finally came to her senses.
She sat up and stood: "Why are you here? Hide! I just saw a troll!"
Harry replied promptly: "Don't worry. Dylan has already killed the troll!"
"What?" she spluttered, very white.
At that point Ron's face, which was already as red as a monkey's buttocks, finally slackened.
He stuttered and apologized to Hermione in a low voice: "I'm sorry what happened this morning."
Hermione stared at Ron in shock again.
Having just survived a life-and-death run from the troll, she felt nothing for whatever Ron was apologizing for.
"Wait here. I'll go upstairs and check if there are any professors."
As Hermione was fine, only scared, Dylan reassured her a little bit and asked Harry and Ron to look after her.
He went out of the dungeon.
Because he killed the troll too quickly, no one outside the room understood that something had been going on here.
He went upstairs for two storeys and didn't find any professors.
"Are they all on the fourth floor?"
A troll suddenly ran into the school, and they collided with Professor Snape, who was racing to the fourth floor, half way.
Dylan thought that many professors must have rushed to protect the Philosopher's Stone.
Indeed, no sooner had he turned the corner on the fourth floor than a low rebuke suddenly came.
"Who's there!"
Dylan stepped forward: "Wait, professor, don't use skills."
Professor Snape, drape in his black robe was taken aback by seeing Dylan and then became gloomy by raising his eyebrows to two very knotted pieces that seemed as if two snakes are tied by black snake material.
Under it two ice-blue eyes pierced him out.
"At this hour rather than remaining inside the dormitory you sneaked here?"
"At least! it's really.
Dylan gave a deep sigh, just about to talk, but noticing Professor Snape's impatient look and his tighter and colder face.
He immediately changed his words: "I have to make a long story short."
"Hermione disappeared today. After finding out about the troll, Harry pulled Ron and me along to look for her."
"And then we happened to run into you in the corridor, but did not greet you because we were looking for Hermione."
"Yes, then we sprinted all the way to the bathroom in the dungeon and chanced to see the troll trying to hurt Hermione."
"Then I blew it up to death with Incendio. I must go look for a professor to tell you about it."
"But I didn't meet any professors on the way. I thought you were supposed to be on the fourth floor. I can only come here first."
While Dylan spoke fluently.
Professor Snape's piercing, eagle-like eyes expanded immediately, and a rare, blatant shudder appeared in his black eyes.
"What did you say?"
"Huh?" Dylan hesitated. "Do I...need to repeat it again, professor?"
Snape's thin lips formed a straight line, his eyes locked on Dylan.
"You said you killed the troll?"
His eyebrows scowled, his lips pursed slightly, as if deciding if Dylan's words were accurate.
"Yes." Dylan nodded, then glanced at Professor Snape's face and suddenly smiled innocently.
"That, professor, after all, I found the troll and worked it out. The stuff on it."
Snape's black pupils quivered even more.
What did he hear?
A first-year young wizard killed a troll, and instead of scaring him away, he went to him claiming credit and demanded from him the body of the troll as a material?
"How did you kill the troll?"
"Professor, didn't I just tell you that? I burned it to death with Incendio."
Dylan said truthfully.
"Naturally, it could have been killed by Diffindo, but its body has been burned, and I couldn't tell."
Professor Snape scowled, his icy eyes sweeping Dylan up and down.
Dylan looked behind Snape.
"Professor, are you standing guard for the Philosopher's Stone?"
!!!
Professor Snape's icy, deep eyes widened once more, and he was surprised again!
"You..." He opened his thin lips, trying to say something, but choked in his throat.
Some strands of greasy black hair fell from his forehead, causing his always tense facial features to relax, showing a rare expression of gaffe.
"How do you know about the Philosopher's Stone?"
Dylan blinked: "It's Harry... Didn't he and Hagrid retrieve the Philosopher's Stone from Gringotts?"
"He was chased here by Peeves last time. By the way, he also mentioned he saw a three-headed dog."
Professor Snape's eyes narrowed immediately: "Harry? Three-headed dog?"
He could feel his eyelids twitching uncontrollably.
"That reckless, stupid, damn Potter!"
Professor Snape whirled round, strode forward, his footsteps fast and heavy, his black robe opening with a 'whoosh' as he walked.
'Off to the dungeon!'
