Chapter 19 - Unique skill user.

A/N: Hey guys, another note for you.

I have posted the appearance of Reinhart, Karlos, and Velsun on my Patreon. If you are interested, you can visit my Patreon and view it. And the plus point is...

It's free. :)

And some people are getting confused over the evolution of Karlos. Look properly; he is not a demon lord. He has evolved into a Daemon lord, which is also called a Daemon/Demon peer if you prefer that.

A Demon lord and Daemon lord are different Check Fandom.

I called out the next candidate.

"Next."

The door creaked open again, and in shuffled an old man who looked like he had personally edited the first historical texts ever written. His robes were layered and ancient, ink-stained in places, and his round monocle clung precariously to one eye. His long white beard dragged along his chest like it had its own stories to tell.

He bowed, slowly but deliberately. "Your Majesty. I am Archscribe Thalor, former Royal Historian and Head Archivist of Bermud's Grand Library."

I stared for a second before whispering to Karlos, "This guy looks like he lived history itself."

Karlos smirked faintly.

Thalor straightened his spine with a series of quiet pops. "I have been serving Bermud since I was twenty. I've memorized the records of five centuries and have catalogued every magical relic, lost language, and noble lineage in the old kingdom. I just wish to provide my knowledge to the kingdom.

I raised an eyebrow. "Ok, you said you have memorized the records of five centuries and have catalogued every magical relic, lost language, and noble lineage in the old kingdom. Am I correct?"

"Yes, my lord." He nodded

Mimir's voice rang in my mind: "Lad, accept him as a royal historian and keeper of records, and he can potentially be an advisor for magical relics as well."

I smirked. "You've got the job."

I scribbled down:

Archscribe Thalor—Royal Historian & Keeper of Records. Possible Advisor on Magical Relics.

As he turned to leave, I turned to Karlos and asked.

"So what do you think of him, Karlos? Which of these roles suits him? Royal historian and keeper of records or advisor on magical relics?"

Karlos leaned in, looking at the paper I held thoughtfully, and then answered.

"My lord, I believe he is suitable for every role."

I nodded. "Yeah, but which role should we assign him to?"

Karlos raised an eyebrow in confusion and asked.

"Why don't you assign all three of the roles?"

Now it was my turn to be confused.

"Huh...?"

Karlos raised his finger.

"My lord, First of all, the roles are inseparable. By giving him the role of both historian and keeper, you ensure the 'truth' of our kingdom is managed by the one man who actually remembers it."

Then he raised another finger.

"Secondly, as for the Magical Relics, who better to advise you than the man who has catalogued their origins? Because as far as we know magical relics are concerned, there are so few magical relics around the world they can be counted on fingers, so no one can be better than him at the moment."

I was impressed by his logic and reasoning capability. And Karlos continued and raised his third finger

"And lastly, assigning him all three creates a centralized authority of knowledge. Instead of consulting three different men who might disagree or hide information from one another, you have one 'Living Library.' It streamlines your council and ensures that when you ask a question, you get the full picture—legal, historical, and mystical—all at once."

"He has served Bermud since he was twenty. That kind of longevity is rare. By making him the Archscribe of all three domains, you reward his lifetime of service with the total authority he has already earned."

I chuckled softly, and Karlos looked puzzled at that.

"It seems you are pretty smart, Karlos. I was just testing you. Good thing I have sharp minds as my subordinates."

Karlos looked shocked and then started looking at me with awe.

"Of course, how could I think you didn't know about it? so it was a test after all."

While Karlos was having this moment of awe, I was feeling really awkward.

"Test my ass. I didn't know a single person could hold all three posts."

But looking at Karlos, his gaze filled with awe, I couldn't bring myself to pop that bubble.

I coughed slightly.

'Let's just leave it to destiny.'

'shame on you, lad, fooling a daemon himself.'

'Shut up, Mimir; it's all for his sake.'

I snapped my fingers.

"Next!"

The doors opened again, and this time a young woman stepped inside. She wore a white cloak with faded red patterns along the hems, and around her waist hung several small pouches filled with herbs and vials. Her presence carried a soothing air, like a gentle breeze after a storm.

She bowed gracefully. "Your Majesty. I am Elira, once head healer of Glora's inner ward. I have served the people for over a decade—nobles and commoners alike. I heard the call, and I came to offer my skills in healing magic, herbalism, and battlefield triage."

I looked her over carefully.

'Ok, a healer. Mimir, can you analyze her capability as a healer? I have zero experience in it.'

'As you wish lad.'

Analysis initiated. Target: Elira. Species: High-Human

A transparent window of data flickered across my vision, invisible to everyone but me.

**«Analytical Appraisal results: Target possesses the Unique Skill [Benevolent Provider]. Main Effects:

Accelerated Cellular Regeneration: Increases natural healing rate by 400%.

Triage Insight: Instantly identifies the most life-threatening injury in a group.

Mana-to-Vitality Conversion: High efficiency (89%).»

**"She's the real deal, lad," Mimir added, his mental tone shifting to one of genuine approval. "She understands the 'flow' of life. Her herb pouches aren't for show either; she's got stabilized high-grade potions in there that she brewed herself. On a scale of one to ten? She's a solid nine for anyone without a demon lord's constitution."

I blinked, impressed. A 9/10 from an Ultimate Skill was practically a glowing recommendation.

"Done," I said, my voice steady as I jotted her name onto the thick parchment.

I looked up and gave her a small, reassuring nod. "Your experience in the inner ward will be invaluable here, Elira. Welcome to the team."

Elira's eyes widened slightly, a flush of relief coloring her cheeks. She bowed even deeper than before. "I am honored, Your Majesty. I will not fail you."

Elira—Health Minister.

As she bowed again and left.

Karlos, with a thoughtful expression, turned to me and asked, "My lord, is there a specific reason you chose her? I don't mean to question you, Lord, but... I didn't find anything extraordinary in her.

I chuckled, "You didn't notice, huh?" genuinely happy that my perfect butler can sometimes be clueless too.

Karlos's eyes widen in despair. 'What? What is it that Lord Velsun noticed but I didn't?'

Karlos put his hands onto his face, sweating in despair.

I was taken aback by this.

"FORGIVE ME, LORD VELSUN, I COULDN'T LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS."

Karlos's face was tense with despair and sweating.

I quickly reassured him. "It's fine, Karlos. There is no need to be so tense about it; everyone can miss things sometimes."

Karlos was now a little bit better but still had a sad expression on his face.

Then I explained, "The reason I chose her is because she had a unique skill."

Karlos's eyes shot up. "Unique skill?"

I nodded. "Yes, a unique skill. She had a unique skill called Benevolent Provider, which amplified and multiplied her healing abilities to new heights.

"To put it simply… aside from me," I said casually, "she's the best healer in the entire kingdom."

Karlos stared for a second—then his expression shifted.

Admiration.

"…I see," he said, bowing once more—this time with genuine respect. "As expected of you, Lord Velsun."

I smirked. "Hehe... It's nothing, Karlos. You can learn from me."

I could already feel the unadulterated expression of dumbfoundedness on Mimir's face, which sounds absurd.
