Hesabeth put the tea down, and she gently stood and began to walk towards Jason. As she approached, there was a strange sound that echoed through Jason's mind, like the thumping of a drum, and it only took a moment for Jason to realise what it was. That was Hesabeth's heart. Jason was literally hearing the beating of Hesabeth's heart. And for some reason, Jason could feel his mouth watering the longer he heard it!
Hesabeth knelt in front of Jason, and Jason's eyes immediately moved towards her neck as she reached for one of her gown straps and put it down before speaking softly.
"If you want to eat regular food, then you must first calm the Vympir blood inside you. And the only way to do that is by consuming blood from others. You don't need to worry about the 'how'. It is a natural instinct, and you will be able to do it just fine. But you must first take blood before anything else."
