Chapter 146 - Chapter 146: Uchiha Madara in the Bleach World?

Amegakure Village's Angel: I'm in the Soul Society, already eating crab. [Image]

Clicking the image reveals a courtyard full of falling cherry blossoms. In the center, Unohana Retsu, Konan, and Anzen are sitting around a long table on the ground.

There are a few jugs of alcohol on the table, along with a wide variety of dishes. The most eye-catching one is a plate of freshly steamed crab.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Damn, I'm drooling.

Doujin Artist: Don't do this, Konan! I've been fighting monsters all day and haven't even had lunch yet.

*Splurt.*

Just after Eriri sent that message, a strange creature—rabbit-like but with two horns—collapsed at her feet, bleeding out bright red blood that splattered everywhere.

Nearby, the JSDF soldiers tasked with sealing off the area stood frozen in fear, staring at the cloaked figure like she was a monster herself.

"So this is the power of our Reaper Lord... she's incredible." A red-haired girl from the same group as Eriri said in awe, her face full of admiration. "That horned demon rabbit must've been level 4, right?"

"Level 4 is nothing. I saw the Reaper Lord take down a level 5 shadow wolf in seconds last time," another girl with light purple hair said smugly, clearly proud.

"Whoa! The Reaper Lord is amazing!" The red-haired girl looked even more starstruck, her eyes practically sparkling. "If I could be the Reaper Lord's girlfriend…"

"You're overthinking it. There's no way a big-shot like the Grim Reaper would go for a flat-chested girl like you." The purple-haired girl scoffed, looking completely unimpressed.

"What did you say, you cow?!" The red-haired girl bared her teeth, ready to fight back.

Seeing the scene unfold, Kasumigaoka and Megumi Kato looked at each other, unsure if they should step in or not. Their mouths twitched, clearly uncomfortable.

Amegakure Village's Angel: Come on, try it. Sister Hua's cooking is pretty good.

Doujin Artist: Nah, spending 500 points on one meal is totally not worth it! I'm saving up my points to buy Anzen-san's divine powers! I want to become a god!

Curly-haired Guy: That's right! Keep that energy, Ari-chan! Believe in yourself—saving up for a hundred-plus years should do the trick!

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: A hundred-plus years… wouldn't we all be dead by then?

Corpse Soul Society's Villain: Don't worry, Grim Reapers aren't that short-lived.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Huh, now that you mention it… we can probably live for hundreds or even thousands of years too, right?

Doujin Artist: Oh yeah, we're basically immortals now!

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: If we really live that long, won't people start calling us creepy old monsters?

Amegakure Village's Angel: Huh? Anzen-san, why aren't you eating the crab? Don't like the taste?

This is an Actor: Nah, I'm just checking out the new card my role-playing system gave me.

Corpse Soul Society's Villain: A new card?

This is an Actor: Yeah. This system's kinda stingy—it only gives out new cards after you finish a role and move on to a new world. So I didn't get anything before.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Who's the new card?

This is an Actor: Someone you'd never guess—Uchiha Madara.

Curly-haired Guy: U-Uchiha Madara?

Doujin Artist: Pfft! Why that nutjob? He's way worse than Aizen!

This is an Actor: The cards are random—I don't get to choose.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: So Anzen-san plans to play Uchiha Madara in the Naruto world? Isn't that kind of flip-flopping?

Amegakure Village's Angel: Uchiha Madara's powers wouldn't really be that useful in the Bleach world, right?

As she sent the message, Konan scooped some nicely prepared crab meat and put it into Anzen's bowl.

This is an Actor: Power isn't the issue. I can stack it.

Doujin Artist: Whoa, stack it? So you mean Anzen-san can stack his own power on top of Uchiha Madara's?

This is an Actor: Yep. But this one's not a role-playing card, just a character card.

Anzen picked up the crab meat with his chopsticks, dipped it in vinegar, and popped it in his mouth. The fresh, clean taste filled his mouth, making him squint his eyes in satisfaction.

Corpse Soul Society's Villain: Is there really a difference?

This is an Actor: It's in the name. A role-playing card makes you act out the character to grow stronger. But a character card doesn't need that—just equip it, and you instantly get 100% of that character's power.

Curly-haired Guy: Holy crap, doesn't that make character cards super broken?

This is an Actor: Both types have their pros and cons. A character card doesn't need time to build up role-play accuracy, but its potential is locked to that version of the character. A role-play card, on the other hand, lets you play the character at their strongest state ever.

It's like the card An Ran has right now—the cover shows Uchiha Madara in red armor.

That means this card is fixed at the level of Madara with Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. No Rinnegan, and definitely not Six Paths level. But if it were a role-play card, the power could go all the way up to Rinnegan with nine Tomoe.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Even so, that's already crazy strong. It's like getting Uchiha Madara's powers for free.

This is an Actor: That's true.

An Ran nodded in agreement. His eyes suddenly turned scarlet, with three black Tomoe slowly spinning around his pupils.

Konan quickly snapped a photo and sent it to the group: Looks so good! [Image]

Doujin Artist: For real. Somehow those eyes look even better on An Ran-san than the original Uchiha Madara.

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: That's just because An Ran-san is good-looking—it's not about the eyes.

Curly-haired Guy: Hmph! You uncultured bunch! How can you call our president "good-looking"? That's called *handsome*!

Doujin Artist: I'll call him good-looking if I want—what's it to you?

Amegakure Village's Angel: Is An Ran-san going to act under the name Uchiha Madara in this world?

This is an Actor: Doesn't really matter. But since I've got the card, might as well try playing the part. Soul Society is bigger than the ninja world—it should be just enough for me to stir things up.
