Zane's POV~
I opened my eyes slowly, my palm pressing against my forehead as a wave of pain throbbed through my skull. A terrible headache pounded behind my temples, and for a moment, all I could do was breathe slowly, waiting for the discomfort to dull. Gradually, my vision adjusted to the light streaming into my room, the familiar shapes around me sharpening into focus.
It was already morning....the hectic day had begun. Those doctors must have given me some kind of sleeping pill last night. Coupled with the weight of everything I had been carrying in my heart, I had fallen asleep almost instantly, thanks to whatever drug they had slipped into my system.
They were still here.
