After the deal was struck between Élise and Grimjaw, mages poured into Beastopia in droves to claim what they thought was theirs. Land was quickly captured and distributed to the nobles, with some plots set to be sold to those who possessed enough gold.
Most of the demi-humans still on the land were either killed or captured as slaves. Within just a couple of days, a border was erected to separate this new territory from Beastopia.
The official story was that the border would help prevent conflict between humans and demi-humans, but Damien suspected the real reason was much different. He believed the border was meant to trap demi-humans, keeping them from escaping and finding refuge in Beastopia.
This new land was renamed 'Beastfall.'
