Dear readers… I've decided not to post any more chapters on this site.No one leaves reviews, no one comments, not even a single stone is thrown my way…There are over 500 of you, yet I have no idea how many actually enjoy the story…
So yeah, I'll keep writing the story, but you won't get to read it…
Goodbye…
Just kidding! You didn't fall for that, right? ZEHAHAHAHA— ahem!
Alright, back to the real stuff.
My dear readers, exam week is approaching, and since it's my final year at university, I really need to focus on my studies. That's why I won't be able to upload any chapters for one month.
I'll still be writing chapters whenever I can — I actually have the time for that — but the translations are what take the most out of me. I've mentioned this before: translating a single chapter takes two to three hours of solid work.
I write during my daily commute — about two hours total — which is perfect for drafting new content. But for translations, I need my computer. Here's my routine:first, I paste the chapter into ChatGPT, then I read the entire translation from start to finish, rewrite any awkward sentences, and finally run it through translation tools for final checks.
Sadly, I can't spare that much time right now. So yes, I'll be taking a one-month break.
But when I return, I'll drop at least four new chapters at once!
Also… I need six reviews for my novel's rating to become visible. That's the only way for more readers to discover it. So if any of you kind souls could show mercy to this poor author and leave a short review… I'd be eternally grateful.
Anyway, see you in a month — and wish me luck on my exams!
Ah! Almost forgot — I need to clear up a few things before I disappear for a while.
First off, in my first chapter — the "Past" chapter — I gave some incorrect information about Morgoth. Just ignore that part. I hadn't done much research on him since I wasn't planning to use Morgoth in the story at the time... but things have changed. Turns out Morgoth is far more terrifying than I originally thought. How exactly I'll write him — well, that's a problem for future me to solve.
Secondly, I want to thank DetachedDreamer, one of my readers, for pointing something out that I had completely missed. Apparently, I've been including too much comedy in my chapters — and because of cultural differences, some jokes that sound funny to me might not land for you at all. On top of that, the humor density is higher than I realized. When you read the story weekly, it's not too bad, but when you binge multiple chapters, it kind of loses its charm... even becomes a bit much.
Also, I've written Igris to be more sarcastic than I originally intended. In my head, after Rivendell, he was supposed to mature and become more serious, since he'll be leading troops and carrying real responsibility. So from now on, expect fewer jokes — Igris will still tease enemies and drop a few witty remarks here and there, but it's time for him to grow into his role.
To be honest, the upcoming chapters will get a lot darker and more disturbing. Expect blood, cruelty, and humiliation — I'm warning you now. I value realism, and I won't sugarcoat a dark world to make it look pretty. Before any particularly harsh chapters, I'll include a content warning, so please — if you're uncomfortable with that kind of material or underage, don't read those parts.
And to be clear — I'm not talking about sexual content. For example, there might be scenes involving a vampire tearing apart a child or baby while feeding — something truly brutal. (It's just an idea for now, not confirmed — I might not even write it.)
Anyway… that's all for now.See you in a month!
