Chapter 7 - Go to Japan

In a dark hallway that devoured light like a black hole, two guards were walking and talking together. The sound of their footsteps echoed through the silence of the corridor.

"Did you hear? They say a famous pirate is going to be executed. That's why the Marines are on full alert," one man said cautiously, looking around to make sure no one was there.

His companion paused and asked in surprise, "Really? Who's so important?" Curiosity was evident in his voice.

"Don't tell anyone… this stays between us, or we're doomed. I heard it's one of Whitebeard's crew," the middle-aged man replied in a trembling voice, glancing around again.

"You're joking! If that's true, a major war is coming!" the second man said, clearly terrified. It wasn't surprising—everyone knew Whitebeard loved his crew like his own children. If one of them was in danger, he would definitely respond.

"I wish it were a lie… but it's true. The whole of Marineford will turn into a battlefield. I don't know if I'll survive… my wife just got pregnant." The first man let out a heavy sigh.

"Damn it! I'm still young… I don't want to die." The second man trembled with fear, buried his face in his hands, and mumbled incoherently. His companion didn't judge him—after all, this was a Yonko matter, not something trivial.

In war, the weak are always the first to fall. This war was set to claim thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of lives. Countless families would lose their loved ones… all because of the desires of powerful people.

While the two guards were talking, Samael was leaning against a pillar, listening to their conversation with a satisfied smile. He was genuinely happy to have set foot in this world—a world full of fascinating and famous characters, whose reincarnations could bring him immense profit.

And the best part? This world had no institutions. Its rules were loose and flexible. And now, we were facing the Marineford arc—the place where Ace was to be executed and hundreds of thousands would die. Most importantly, this was the site of Whitebeard's death, the strongest man in the world. Samael was eagerly looking forward to seeing what kind of power reincarnating a Yonko would bring him.

He could even collect the souls of side characters. Individually, they weren't worth much, but when their numbers reached a thousand, the profit would be enormous. This war was like a gold mine for Samael—he was so excited that he decided to turn this world into his personal garden.

A world without institutions was a dream come true for Samael. And with the number of important characters destined to die in the future, his love for this world grew stronger by the day. "Truly… this is a gem among the infinite multiverse," Samael thought with childlike excitement.

Some time had passed since Gojo's reincarnation in this new world. Unlike the previous world, here he had no responsibilities and could fully unleash his wild nature—which, of course, caused plenty of trouble for others. If he weren't the strongest, he probably would've been beaten up multiple times by now. It's safe to say many wished they could land a solid punch on his arrogant face. Even Samael was sometimes tempted to do so. But Gojo hadn't disappointed Samael; in fact, he had dramatically altered the storyline.

Inside a luxurious private jet, Gojo could be seen lounging and playing with his phone, but in truth, he was deep in thought. He seemed satisfied with his new world. His personality had changed somewhat—he now resembled Sukuna more, a battle-hungry maniac constantly seeking strong opponents. In this world, there were no high-ranking Jujutsu officials, no ancient monsters, and no duties as the strongest sorcerer. Gojo had become a completely different person, though at his core, he was still the same: "a shameless bastard."

"How strong could this so-called Chainsaw Man be?" Gojo smirked. He was in America when he heard the legends about Chainsaw Man. His curiosity had been piqued, and he wanted to see this legendary Chainsaw Man up close. So, he immediately flew from America to Japan.

He had also heard from American government officials about the "Control Devil"—a demon who had made a deal with the Japanese government. This being had sparked Gojo's curiosity as well. Although the Control Devil was one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Gojo, with absolute confidence, believed he could defeat her.

In this world, only a few entities could make Gojo even slightly cautious: the "Primal Devils," especially the "Death Devil. death as the ultimate fear of humanity—granted the Death Devil a transcendent and nearly incomprehensible power. Devils were extraordinary and strange creatures—each one was born with a name tied to a specific concept. This name could be anything, as the devils were manifestations of the fears associated with their respective concepts.

The concepts themselves weren't frightening, but the power and harm they could inflict caused fear in humans. Gojo knew well that a being embodying humanity's deepest fear—death—would undoubtedly be troublesome. Because as long as life exists, so does the fear of death. It was a concept that seemed impossible to eradicate—an absolute truth in the world.

In his new life, Gojo hadn't been idle and had grown even stronger. Although each world had different rules, the rules of the Chainsaw Man universe were quite similar to his previous world, so getting stronger here wasn't difficult. With his "Six Eyes," he could easily analyze the laws of this world and understand many of its secrets.

For example, he discovered that the origins of devils dated back to the dawn of humanity. They were manifestations of the collective unconscious and fears of mankind—they had existed alongside humans since ancient times and clung to humanity like parasites. As long as humanity existed, they would continue to exist. In that sense, they were immortal—as long as their name was spoken, they could be revived endlessly from hell. For them, death was a meaningless concept, and after dying, they would reincarnate.

So this apocalypse prophecy about the Death Devil is total nonsense… the end of humanity and the beginning of a devils era? What a joke! This extinction would mean the end of both humans and devils. If we let the Death Devil bring about the apocalypse, all life would perish, leaving behind only an empty planet.

As for hell, Gojo had several theories. Most likely, hell was a place formed in ancient times from the negative emotions of humanity's collective unconscious—a place built from all the evils of mankind.

Gojo's understanding of this world had become so deep that he confidently claimed he could even artificially become a devil. With certain [rituals], he could achieve this—transform into a true devil, not just a hybrid.

While Gojo was lost in thought, the jet gently landed at the airport. He was so eager to meet Chainsaw Man that he hadn't noticed the time pass. Once the jet came to a complete stop, Gojo stood up and exited with his usual swagger. As he walked toward the airport terminal, he saw a young man and a beautiful woman.

"Welcome to Japan, Satoru Gojo. My name is Makima." Makima spoke these words in a soft and pleasant voice. A gentle smile was on her lips, and her expression was so unreadable that it was impossible to tell what she was thinking.

Gojo completely ignored the young man and only stared at Makima. The first thing he realized was that this woman was a real monster disguised as a human. The second was that she was definitely a devil—almost nothing could escape his "Six Eyes." And the third and most interesting point: this woman was most likely the "Control Devil."

"You came all this way just for me? I'm flattered… I didn't expect such a warm welcome," Gojo said with his usual carefree tone. A smirk played on his face—it looked like he was laughing, but he wasn't.

Only one person noticed this oddity: Makima. "So, he figured it out…" she thought, but wasn't surprised. She hadn't expected to hide herself from this man anyway. Makima's gentle smile widened slightly.
