{Chapter: 208 - It's Wonderful}

The sudden shift in energy was almost surreal.

One moment, Jessica had been in control — bold, sharp, and merciless in her passion — and the next, a gentler presence emerged. A flutter behind the eyes. A slight tremble in her breath. Her smirk softened. Her posture changed. Nikki had surfaced.

"I'll let her have this one," Jessica had whispered minutes earlier, voice low but steady, like handing the wheel of a speeding car to someone who'd never driven. "Be gentle. She's not me."

And with that, she faded back.

Aiden blinked, watching the transformation unfold in real time. Nikki's eyes — the same shade — now held a vulnerability that Jessica never allowed. Her breath caught when she met his gaze, like she wasn't sure if she was allowed to look.

He smiled softly. "You okay?"

Nikki nodded, shy and slow. "I just… I didn't expect her to step back like that."

"You've been watching from the backseat long enough," Aiden said gently. "You deserve the front."

She bit her lip. "I've never… not like this."

He tilted his head. "Do you want me to stop?"

She looked down, hesitated, then shook her head. "No. I want to know what it's like. When it's just me."

Aiden chuckled warmly and leaned closer, brushing a soft kiss against her cheek. "Then I'll take my time."

And he did.

This time, he moved differently. Slower. Gentler. Jessica had demanded and devoured — clawed at him like he was her prey. But Nikki… Nikki opened like a flower in spring, responding to every touch with breathy moans and hesitant hands. She blushed when he whispered praise in her ear, and when he kissed her neck, she shivered like it was the first time she'd ever been touched like that.

Despite sharing the same body, every reaction was new. Tender. Almost innocent.

And to Aiden, that contrast was exhilarating.

The same body… but such different feelings.

It was enough to make his mind spin. Enough to make his heart race.

If he had to describe it in two words, they would've been simple:

It's wonderful.

For the next thirty minutes, their world was a blur of slow-burning intimacy. No wild dominance this time. Just the sounds of whispered names, trembling sighs, and the rhythm of something far deeper than just lust.

Nikki came five times — just like Jessica — but not from being pinned down or taken roughly. No, Aiden gave her space to feel, to breathe, to experience everything on her terms.

The system chimed quietly in his mind:

[Jessica/Nikki – Friendship increased by 20%]

He smiled to himself.

That must've been Nikki's side.

As they lay tangled in the sheets, Aiden propped himself up on one elbow and looked down at her — still flushed, still catching her breath.

"So…" he teased, brushing a strand of hair from her cheek. "How was it? Satisfied?"

There was a pause — just long enough to make him arch a brow — and then she answered.

"Not bad."

But her voice had shifted. Slightly firmer. A little more edge.

Aiden's smile widened. "Hah… Jessica, right?"

She clicked her tongue. "You always catch on too fast."

"Well, you have this thing in your voice. Sort of like you're about to punch someone after you say good morning."

Jessica scoffed, but there was amusement in her eyes. "Don't get cocky."

"I'd say I've earned a little cockiness," he said, casually flexing his arms behind his head. "You were trembling by the end, you know."

She rolled her eyes. "You're lucky I let you off easy."

"Oh, let me off?" he smirked. "You're acting like you were doing me a favor."

Jessica gave him a sharp look, but couldn't hide the faint grin curling at her lips. "Don't get used to it."

Aiden sat up, stretching. "Actually, I was hoping we'd negotiate a little career change."

Jessica raised an eyebrow. "What kind of negotiation?"

"I mean…" he pulled on a fresh shirt from his system space — a casual act, like plucking it from thin air — "your performance tonight was exceptional. Seduction, execution, transformation. The whole damn package. I'm having second thoughts about letting you go."

Jessica blinked at the shirt appearing from nowhere. "You just… summoned clothes?"

He tossed her a wrapped dress, the label crisp and unmistakable. A luxury brand. Elegant. Sleek. Expensive. Tens of thousands of dollars at the very least.

Jessica's eyes narrowed. "That's real?"

"Custom-sized," he said with a wink. "Power perk."

She held it up, running her fingers along the fabric. "You carry designer dresses around?"

"Never know when I might need to impress a certain deadly blonde with control issues."

Jessica laughed softly, the sound both amused and a touch flattered, rattled yet rejuvenated by the afterglow. She brushed a strand of damp hair behind her ear and glanced at her body, where the rumpled sheets still clung to her skin.

"I think… I think you're dangerous," she murmured, voice low, teasing yet edged with warning. "In a very inconvenient way."

Aiden closed the distance, the warmth of his body still lingering in the cool light of the room. He cupped her cheek gently, thumb tracing the line of her jaw. "I could say the same about you." His tone was soft, but the heat beneath it was palpable.

For a moment, her features softened, vulnerability flickering in her eyes. But then Jessica stiffened, stealing herself. "Don't forget who I work for."

A shadow crossed Aiden's face as his expression grew confident again. "Linderman?" he scoffed quietly. "You give him too much credit. He's not untouchable."

"He's not just a boss, Aiden." Jessica's voice was suddenly serious, authoritative—her walls rising again. "He's dangerous. If he thinks I've betrayed him—"

Aiden tightened his jaw and lifted his gaze, calm, unwavering. "I'll handle him," he interrupted, firm and measured. "He wants a deal with me. He knows what I bring to the table. If he makes a move on you… he'll lose more than just a deal. In fact, now that you're mine, anyone edges too close—won't have the luxury of a head left on their shoulders. He knows it."

His possessive tone hung in the air like a promise—and a warning.

Jessica's breath hitched. She stared into his eyes, searching for uncertainty, vulnerability. But there was none.

"You're… serious?" she whispered.

"Deadly." His answer was soft—poised, but unflinching as steel.

It hit her then: the man before her wasn't just dangerous in the sense she'd meant. He was something more—impossibly protective and terrifying when aroused or crossed.

For the first time since they first crashed into each other earlier.

Then she hesitated, confession soft and reluctant—"I think Nikki… she likes you. Too much already."

A rare smile tipped at the corner of Aiden's lips as he lowered his hand, brushing his thumb along hers. "I like her back. Just like…" He paused, stepping closer again, gaze locked on hers. "Just like I like you."

Jessica's eyes widened. He sounded… earnest. Vulnerable. She blinked as though she'd just seen him anew.

He offered his hand, a warm invitation. "Come on. It's late, Jess." The voice that fell from his lips was gentle—with mischief shimmering beneath the surface. "I've got another assistant waiting back at the hotel. She'll kill me if I leave her hanging."

Jessica rolled her eyes. "Another one?"

Aiden smirked. "Jealous?"

"I don't do jealousy," Jessica replied, standing tall again. "But I do competition."

With that, Aiden scooped her up effortlessly, one arm beneath her legs and the other behind her back.

"Let's go then," he whispered. "Round two can wait — but the secretary won't."

And with a gust of wind, they soared into the night sky — the city lights below, the warm glow of passion behind them, and the dangerous game ahead just beginning.

---

Back at the hotel, the warm glow of the hallway lights glistened off the polished floors as Aiden and Jessica stepped out of the elevator. Jessica looked refreshed, her expression carrying that mischievous satisfaction she often wore when she had the upper hand. Aiden glanced at her sideways.

"I don't mind you going for another secretary," Jessica teased, her voice sultry and amused. "If she's anything like me... I'm sure she'll be more than satisfied."

Aiden chuckled, raising a brow as he turned to her. "That's rich coming from the woman who moaned my name like a prayer not an hour ago."

With a playful smack on her hip, Aiden drew a groan from Jessica, whose cheeks flushed despite herself. Her dual nature as Jessica and Nikki might confuse some, but Aiden found it fascinating, even thrilling. Her bravado was classic Jessica, but the shy glances and the soft vulnerability that sometimes surfaced? That was pure Nikki. He liked peeling those layers back.

Approaching the hotel room, Aiden slowed down. Rather than barging in, he paused outside the door, tilting his head slightly. With a focused breath, he dialed up his super hearing. The faint, rhythmic thump of a heartbeat came into focus.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

There was a slight acceleration, a tightness in the pattern. Aiden grinned.

She's angry.

No—jealous, he corrected.

Sarah.

He could practically feel the storm brewing behind the door. Still, he found it adorable. That strong, self-assured exterior, trying to play it cool? Classic Sarah. But her heartbeat betrayed her.

He opened the door slowly.

Sarah was sitting cross-legged on the sofa, the soft hotel lights painting golden shadows on her blonde hair. Her face was calm—expressionless, even. She didn't even glance at him as he walked in.

"Angry?" Aiden asked, tone low and gentle as he approached.

"Angry?" Sarah repeated, almost mocking. "Why should I be angry?"

He crouched down in front of her, eyes meeting hers. "Because I know you, Sarah. You don't have to lie. You forget... I have ways to know."

He tapped his temple with a smirk.

"You read my mind?" she said sharply, eyes narrowing.

"No, no," Aiden said with a laugh, raising his hands. "Not at all. Just listen to your heart. It said more than your words ever could."

Sarah looked away, clearly flustered. That was the thing about her. Beneath that cool agent mask, she had depth. Complexity. Intensity. Aiden loved that about her.

"I didn't plan for Linderman to act so fast. I didn't expect... her," he said, nodding toward Jessica. "And believe me, I didn't go looking for that encounter. He tried to use her to curry favor, but things... spiraled."

"Spiraled? That's what you call it?" Sarah's eyes flickered dangerously. "Didn't look like much resistance was involved."

Aiden smiled, leaning in. "Are you jealous?"

"Don't flatter yourself."

He tilted his head, studying her expression. "Oh, but I will. Because if you weren't, you wouldn't be sitting there like the Ice Queen herself, trying so hard to look unaffected."

Sarah turned her face slightly, jaw tight.

"Are you using my own ability on me?" she asked suddenly, voice tense.

Aiden blinked. "Hm? No. Why would I hypnotize you? Honestly, if I wanted you to stop being mad, there are better ways... and more fun ones."

"You..." she narrowed her eyes. "You're not lying. But it felt like... like you were using my persuasion. Did you take my ability?"

Aiden stood up and paced a few steps. "Not quite. I think I understand now. There's another ability I picked up. One that lets me copy powers from people around me. I haven't used it in a while because of... some physical complications. But I think it's back."

Sarah stood too, watching him warily. "So, you copied me?"

"Not intentionally. It happens automatically.

It's not permanent, though, the copied ability fades over time. Still... it's fun while it lasts."

To demonstrate, Aiden turned to the heavy coffee table in front of them. With one hand, he lifted it clean off the ground as though it weighed nothing. Jessica whistled in the background.

"That strength... that's mine," she commented, arms crossed, amused.

"Indeed," Aiden grinned. "Seems like I get a little gift from every woman I bond with."

It seems that when he was having fun with her, he copied her ability without being aware.

'Hey, can this copy ability actually produce energy?'

This is what Aiden cared about.

[Yes, but very little. Moreover, your mimicking ability isn't permanent. This copying ability somewhat conflicts with your body's devouring ability. Although the ability to copy after physical adjustment is preserved, it is only temporary and will disappear soon..]

'I see…' Aiden snorted but wasn't disappointed.

Sarah stared at him for a long moment, then finally smiled—just a small twitch of the lips. "You're dangerous."

Aiden took a step toward her. "Only to those who aren't ready for me. Are you?"

She looked him in the eyes. "Try me."

Aiden laughed, then walked up to her and gently tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "You're not mad anymore."

"I still could be."

"Let me make it up to you then," he said, his voice dipping low, teasing.

Sarah raised a brow. "How?"

Aiden flashed his most devilish grin. "Dinner... wine... then I show you just how persuasive I can really be."

Jessica coughed. "Ahem. Standing right here, you know."

Aiden turned. "Good. Because you're coming too."

Jessica blinked. "Wait, what?"

Sarah smirked. "Now that I'm angry about."
