Chapter 198 - The Road Home

The morning sun poured golden light across the island, birds soaring above while the ocean whispered its calm. But inside the palace walls, something in the air was different — a joy, a shift, a spark. Mirshad had returned. And now… he was taking everyone home.

One by one, they moved. Reapers packed their weapons and armor. The brothers folded clothes, prepped gadgets, zipped up bags. Sara and Sophia carefully organized baby things and essentials for travel. Everyone was in motion — but no one knew the destination. In the main hall, the scent of fresh coffee and mint tea filled the air as the family gathered in a wide circle. The fireplace flickered gently beside them. Mirshad sat at the center, calm, sipping slowly, Sophia beside him glowing in her quiet watch.

Baba broke the silence. "So, son. Where are we going?" "Home," Mirshad said softly. Rayyan raised an eyebrow. "Home? You mean the UK palace?" Mirshad shook his head. "No." Rayyan leaned forward. "Then where?" Mirshad's eyes found Jabir. "Tell them."

Jabir sat straighter, grinning. "It wasn't easy, bro. At first, your neighbors thought I was there to rob them." Laughter broke out. "I stayed calm. Made an offer. Some refused. I doubled it. Tripled it. By the second day…" He spread his arms. "Gone. All of them. Thirty houses. Every lot. All ours."

Rayyan's jaw dropped. "You bought the entire neighborhood?!" "Yup. And I stayed some extra days… for personal reasons." Mirshad narrowed his eyes. "My mom's chicken curry?" "The greatest I've ever tasted!" Jabir declared. Malik leaned in. "Bro, now I want to eat your mom's cooking too."

Mirshad smiled. "You'll get to. That house, that street — it's not just mine anymore. It's ours. We're family." He reached into a drawer, unfolded a large blueprint. Rayyan leaned in. "Is this… a house plan?"

"Not a house," Mirshad said. "Our future. A palace. Right where I grew up." Baba's voice was steady, warm. "We're already proud of you, son. We've always been proud." "Not just me, Baba. All of you made this possible. You are my roots. My reason."

A large screen lit up. "Sirius, call home," Mirshad ordered. After a few rings, his mother's face appeared. Her eyes widened, voice cracking. "Mirshad… I saw that man hurt you. I thought I lost you. Jabir said you're fine, but I held my breath every day."

"Maa… did you think your son would die that easy?" She shook her head, laughing through her tears. "Don't say that!" "Maa… get the rooms ready. We're coming home." Gasps filled the room. "You… you're serious?" Baba chuckled. "He means it, sister. We're all coming." Her hand flew to her chest. "And Maa… one more thing," Mirshad said, taking Sophia's hand, pulling her close. He looked at the screen, then at his brothers. "I'm getting married."

The room erupted. Cheers, whistles, claps. His mother's voice rang with joy. "Leave the rest to me! I'll call everyone!" "We'll be there by morning, Maa. I love you," he said. When the call ended, Rayyan tackled him in a hug. Amir shouted, "OUR BOY IS GETTING MARRIED!" Malik danced with Jabir, clapping and spinning. Even Baba — calm and quiet — clapped gently.

Sophia stood still, cheeks warm. Mirshad turned to her, took her hand again, and whispered, "This world saw me as a warrior. But you… you gave me a reason to live." She looked into his eyes. "And now the world will see you as a husband… and a father." They embraced while behind them, the family celebrated — not for war, not for power, but for love.
