Chapter 85 - BORA BORA: A HIDDEN PARADISE

The sun was golden as it began to set over the crystal-clear waters of Bora Bora. The sky was painted in soft shades of pink and orange, the ocean reflecting its beauty like a mirror. Their private overwater villa stood isolated from the world, surrounded by nothing but the vast, endless sea.

Mirshad stepped onto the deck, taking in the serene beauty of the place. The gentle sound of waves lapping against the stilts of their villa, the occasional cry of a seagull in the distance—it was the kind of silence he had never experienced before.

For the first time in his life, there were no responsibilities, no threats, no wars.

Just peace.

Sophia walked out onto the deck, wearing a simple white sundress, her hair flowing freely in the ocean breeze. She stopped beside him, resting her hands on the railing as she gazed out at the sea.

"I think this is the most beautiful place we've been to," she whispered.

Mirshad glanced at her. "You're not looking in the right direction, then."

She turned to find him watching her, a rare softness in his eyes. Her heart skipped a beat. "Flirting now, are we?"

He smirked, reaching out to tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "I don't have to flirt when it's the truth."

Sophia shook her head, laughing lightly. "You're impossible."

"And you love it," he replied smoothly, making her cheeks warm.

She rolled her eyes but didn't deny it.

For the next several days, there was no schedule, no plans—just them, completely lost in each other.

Morning Walks on the Beach – Hand in hand, their footprints in the sand washed away by the tide.

Lazy Afternoons in the Infinity Pool – Sophia resting her head against his chest, the water surrounding them.

Midnight Stargazing on the Deck – Wrapped in a blanket, his arms around her as they whispered about their dreams.

There were no distractions, no interruptions.

Just love.

On their fourth night, Mirshad had something special planned.

A floating wooden deck had been set up just a few meters away from their villa, accessible only by a small bridge. A table was set in the middle, surrounded by lanterns glowing softly against the water. A gentle melody played in the background, the sound of distant island drums blending with the ocean waves.

Sophia's eyes widened as she stepped onto the platform, taking in the sight. "Mirshad… this is beautiful."

He pulled out a chair for her, smirking. "Only the best for my queen."

She sat down, still looking around in awe. "You really planned all of this?"

He took his seat across from her. "Everything. Down to the last candle."

Sophia leaned on her palm, staring at him. "You never stop surprising me."

He picked up his wine glass. "Then I'm doing my job right."

As they ate, the conversation flowed easily. They talked about childhood memories, places they still wanted to see, silly moments they had never shared before.

Sophia laughed as she recounted a story from her childhood. "I was convinced the moon followed me everywhere. I used to wave at it before going to bed."

Mirshad chuckled, swirling his wine. "I used to believe I could talk to the stars. Every night, I would tell them my secrets."

She tilted her head. "And do you still?"

He looked at her, his gaze deep and intense. "I don't need to anymore. I have you."

Her breath caught, warmth spreading through her chest. "Mirshad…"

He reached across the table, taking her hand. "Every moment with you… it feels like I'm finally alive. Like I'm not just existing, but actually living."

Sophia swallowed the lump in her throat, her fingers tightening around his. "You make me feel the same way."

For a while, they just sat there, the world around them fading away, the only thing that mattered was this moment.

After dinner, they stepped back onto their villa's deck. The moon was high, casting silver light over the ocean.

Sophia turned to Mirshad, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Let's go for a swim."

Mirshad raised an eyebrow. "Right now?"

She nodded, already stepping out of her dress, revealing the swimsuit underneath. "The water looks perfect."

Before he could respond, she dived into the sea.

Mirshad smirked, shaking his head. "You're going to regret that."

He stripped off his shirt and followed her in.

The water was warm, the gentle waves rocking them as they floated side by side.

Sophia giggled, splashing water at him. "Bet you can't catch me."

Mirshad smirked. "You just made a big mistake."

Before she could react, he was behind her, his arms wrapping around her waist as he pulled her against him. She gasped, her heart pounding as his lips brushed against her ear.

"Got you."

She turned in his hold, looking up at him through wet lashes. "What now?"

He didn't answer.

He simply closed the distance, his lips capturing hers in a deep, slow kiss under the moonlight.

For the first time in his life, Mirshad wasn't thinking about the future.

He wasn't thinking about wars, enemies, or responsibilities.

For once, he was just a man in love.

And in that moment, nothing else mattered.
