Logan was astonished by how much she could care for someone. He then wondered what her reaction would be if she cared about him.
He did remember how she reacted when she saw him with bruises from a fight he got himself into because he wanted to protect Master Don. He never told her the reason for those deep wounds.
Logan didn't say anything after her remarks. He placed his hand gently on her back and stroked her for a while. "Carol is a bastard," Logan said after a few moments of silence.
"How could he do that?" She faced him. "If I set my eyes on him tomorrow, I'll pluck his eyes out," she said with gritted teeth.
"I mean you don't have to do that. Remember that I'm more than the guy you are seeing here."
"Will you kill him?" Her tears were still on her face. Looking at her small cute face, Logan used his thumbs to wipe them off her face.
"If you want me to. I don't want my wife to get blood on her hands. Let me do those things," he replied.
