It was getting dark ,Elias heart sank
he was paralysed by shock but he got a hold on himself, he forced himself to accept the reality and asked lira about what she remembered from her past.Lira tried to concentrate and started to panik ,her mind was empty her memory began from the moment they arrived in this foreign world she asked the unknown man in front of her in a desperate voice "do you know me ?,tell me who am I "
She held his collar and brought her face in front of his ,tears rolling from her eyes,she shouts while crying "WHO AM I !??!! Why can't I remember anything?"
All Elias can do is hug her tightly and give his support
Somehow she can still remember his warmth,for her he felt like someone close,like family.
He he quickly told her to get on his back as the sun was only a few hrs away from setting.
She hopped on after some hesitation,he told her about her name and that he was her brother ,and also about the incident that had occurred.
He saw a crude road which looked like it had be used for decades.
He followed the road towards the west while carrying lira and walked for 2 hrs which felt like eternity.
They soon arrived at a well which was full of fresh water
He quickly dropped her and ran towards the well for drinking water he was so thirsty that he almost forgot about her he lifted a bucket towards her in an attempt to share water but she looked shocked as if the impossible was standing right before her eyes he quickly followed her gase and saw a giant Wall stretching for meters in height covering kilometres in length.She quickly asked him to take her there as the sunlight was almost gone.
When they reached closer to the wall Elias noticed a gate where a short line of people had gathered,they were overjoyed to see people in this world "humans! Humans,we are not alone"they screamed
They quickly joined the line ,on their way towards the gate lira notices a colossal tree,it was bigger than most short mountains and started glowing blue as the sunlight finally faded."that tree is strange and beautiful at the same time don't you thing Elias ?"
"Huh , oh yeah "replied Elias
After waiting for sometime they arrived at the gate it looked not any larger than 8 ft in height.
The guards asked them "what business do seek in our kingdom,and where are you from?"
He became nervous and with a cracked voice he replied "umm.. well you won't believe us if we told you but we are from a different world we call it earth"
The soldier was taken by surprise,he began to look at their clothes and and their condition,after a while he replied with a sad voice "oh ,how unfortunate,we pity your terrible luck ,we will welcome you traveller but i have a question do u retain ur memory by any chance "
Elias thought in his mind *what a strange question*
"Yes" he replied with a nervous voice.
The soldier's eyes widened and told him to write their names in the register.
*The kingdom's gate opened*
Lira by then had already began to sleep while being carried on his back
They entered and then he was shocked by the state of the city.
The entrance road diverged into three parts- centre, left and right.
He chose the right path after seeing a board from a distance,the board in the distance had writings in unknown language but strangely the English translation was also written below the board.
It said "Traveller's guide , people from other world welcome"
He thought whether to enter the 4 story building or not,but he mustered courage and entered the building,he saw a beautiful woman at the reception who was in her mid 30's, beyond the reception counter multiple tables where people were drinking and taking to there friends can be seen ,she said to elia"welcome to travelers guide,how many i help you ?"
Elias asks her "where are we now ?,i am a traveller,and what's a traveller exactly?, what should I do in the mean time to survive"
The woman first introduced herself as Emily,she asks him to put down his sister first and to go to table no 3.
He helped his sister to sit on the table,she slept like a corpse with her head between her arms folded.
Soon ,Miss Emily arrived and they began their conversation
"First,you are in a world parallel to earth, you were teleported here accidentally and there is no way back your stuck here with us in this hell,ur current position is in the kingdom of Eldoria.
Second,there are two types of people who were teleported here, first people who's memories were sacrificed in exchange for power,and second people who didn't lose their memories and their power remained dormant.the people in first case are called traveller's
Second ones are called transcender's.The majority of people are travellers but there are also rare cases of transcenders,you are very lucky sir might i add
And,third,you can apply for many jobs considering that you are a transcender ,you are very valuable for the city of emberwood.
Is that all or do you have more questions ?"
"I do,what do you mean by power ? And why did you refer this place as hell ?"asked Elias.
Well for that i would recommend you to go to the city centre and take basic survival training,they will inform you more about powers where as refering this place as hell has its reasons, this place is full of monsters who can tear human flesh apart in seconds, outside these walls mystical beasts roam around,these beasts are native to these lands .The world outside is unliveable and constant attacks on border cities like ours caused many of us to lose their lives protecting this kingdom, many of them were our friends or family, if not for their noble sacrifice we would not have gotten to see the light of day , so everyday is a struggle for survival
Since misfortune can fall upon us at any moment."
" Now if you excuses me i have to attend to my other customers "
Then she left
Meanwhile Elias became nauseous after taking in so much information
He then again asks the Elsa at the desk whether he and his sister can spend the night at the guide since it's very late and they can't afford anything.she nodded and gave one of the rooms at the guide shop/hotel to spend the night.
