There are many things known about Yonora, and the most important for what is to be discussed is that the women are said to be as stunning as those of Maxriana and Casarena. If you are a learned man, you know that they have only bred the most beautiful women. However, the women of Maxriana have a lighter visage, their skin closer to that of honey than the chocolate that ran in Yonora.
As a learned man, you should also know that the original Queen of Yonora was closer to that of honey, but that did not affect the line of royalty. The Queens of Yonora have always been chosen by the former queen before her retirement. The first queen, Yona of House Ignora was the daughter of Vicordros, and the second queen Yon of the Mind. She had the much lighter complexion of her mother but she held the jaw and stare of her father. Her hair was curly like her father and just like her father she was a really great warrior, gaining the title 'Battle Princess'. However, it cannot be understated how influenced she was by her elder brother Ricordros, for she used her mind long before she chose to pick up a weapon.
This mind hatched a thousand-year plan to, in league with her sister's states in the northern part of the South, breed beautiful women that could in a sense be the best fighters. However, soon after the sisters in the north's program became incestuous and so the Yonora was unable to support them with any resources. So Yonora's women were not only beautiful but they were said to be of not only equal battle skill but battle potential as the men of the queendom.
When Casamir was approaching the Queen of the time was a man named Caesar don Kunhfua, a small lordship in the southern part of Yonora. Caesar, unlike his fellow Kings and Queens, had not turned upon his own people for he'd long been warned of the potential fall of morality. Well, that is what he preached, however, that made him no less controlling. He had a daughter who, as said by the Preachers, needed to be wed but had the strangest of requirements. Her name was Rosus, the namesake of a local legend, that's what many historians believe. She wanted any man who wanted her to solve a puzzle, a simple puzzle. That's what she told them, however, no potential suitor had ever returned from her chambers after entering and so the peasantry believed her to be cursed.
So that was the second of his labors, to solve the puzzle of Rosus and win her hand in marriage. However, that did not secure him the queendom, for that's not how the queendom of Yonora worked. This was the other reason the Queen needed to have his daughter wed, some were beginning to believe he would select his daughter, setting a potential precedent for future rulers. Being the one to set such a pattern would result in his own death and hatred for his family for hundreds of years.
Casamir arrived in another port town, however, when he arrived he found the heat insufferable. The water thickened the air in a way he was not used to, for he grew up in places with the thin air and where water was not abundant. The ferryman pointed out that it was still hundreds of miles before he would reach any sand, so the complaints fell on deaf ears.
The country's landscape amazed Casamir, it was lush and green in a way he'd rarely seen. The sun was setting and rippled purple pink and blue across the sky like paint drops in a can of water. He had no choice but to sit upon his steed and watch it for many moments, he gained a great appreciation for the sunset that he'd lacked previously.
The young king realized that he had no clue where to go and so he had to find someone to help him. Which he did. The town had a castle near it, presumably to protect the town from raiders. So he approached the gates and requested help, surprisingly as he arrived, a young man of cocoa complexion exited it. His eyes wandered and landed on Casamir. Casamir was not fair in the sense he was of vanilla or even honey complexion but he was not of the same skin as the man.
Note: Most towns at this time, especially in Yonora did not have castles, for castles were an extremely expensive development in the desert.
The man spoke a language Casamir did not understand and for a moment Casamir feared that all in the queendom spoke this language. However he was saved when the boy spoke again, and this time he spoke of heading west. Casamir clarified that's where the great city of Yonoros would be and he was confirmed right.
Before the two boys left an older woman joined them, presumably the mother of the child and the Lady of the castle. In future conversations on the journey, Casamir would realize the lady was the ruler of the town and was going for a meeting. The young king needed no further explanation after the one and only.
They totaled a group of fifteen soldiers two lordbloods, and the future king. However, they met little problems along their way, besides Casamir. Casamir did not enjoy the tropical weather, the sweat and humidity made his mood rise. His emotions began to sour the longer they were in the heat and he became insufferable.
His body began to have a difficult time as well, he'd never experienced such heat and so he was feverish often. Luckily as the journey progressed his body adapted quickly and by the time he reached the city, he was relatively fine. He was not perfectly acclimated like he would've been if he had been a native but he appreciated not being a boiling pot for most of his time.
