Chapter 17 - CHAPTER 17 – BATTLE AGAINST ZASTIN (30% POWER)

*Note: Well, here you have a new chapter of this fic that I really enjoy writing.

Remember that you can share your thoughts in the comments and tell me which parts you liked the most and which ones you liked the least. I also accept suggestions, as long as they are constructive criticism and not pure hate.

That was all but if you want to leave me a review, you can do it too.

Have a good day :)

...

The alien I had chosen was Diamondhead, an alien whose body is composed of a crystalline material similar to diamond, which is perfect for someone who is using a sword, i.e. against Zastin in this case.

"It seems to be made of some kind of crystal" - Peke said.

"Yes. And besides, he is not the same as last time. How many "aliens" do you think he will be able to transform?" – Lala asked.

"It's hard to say. The nature of that machine is something that cannot be understood even with our current technology. If what Akira-sama said is true, then whoever invented that device, he may not belong in this galaxy and he came here by mistake or something" - Peke said.

ontact with other galaxies had already been established, but in many of them, there were no beings capable of matching his father's power, while in others, there were some who came close. It could be said that although his father was the king of this galaxy (his home galaxy), his power was so immense that he could easily conquer several galaxies if he wished. In fact, he could currently be the ruler of dozens of galaxies, but King Deviluke declared that, for the time being, he would not interfere in the affairs of other galaxies and would only retaliate if they acted aggressively. King Deviluke is not a bloodthirsty tyrant, but a wise, loyal, and deeply protective ruler of his people. However, if someone dares to provoke him… he won't hesitate to unleash a massacre. That was what triggered the last war…

"Come on, attack me, I'll let you make the first attack!" – Zastin said.

It seems he doesn't believe I can beat him even in this form—and honestly, I don't think I can either. But I'm confident I can push him to use 30% of his strength. I trust myself to make that happen.

"As you wish!" – I exclaimed.

Then I transformed my hand into a blade and lunged at Zastin at full speed. Diamondhead wasn't exactly known for his speed, so before reaching him, I stomped the ground hard, causing several diamond spikes to shoot up in an attempt to harm Zastin. This attack might have worked on a normal opponent, but not someone like Zastin, who dodged it with ease. I had anticipated this, so while he was avoiding the spikes, I moved to block his path and swung my arm downward. The slash, aimed to cut Zastin, was effortlessly stopped by his sword.

*Important note: I have searched the internet and even asked the GPT chat about what kind of mineral Petro Sapiens are made of. The answer I got was diamond and even a strange crystal coming from his home planet. I also remember hearing that his body is made of tadenite, but that it is worthless. Please, if anyone knows, please let me know so I can fix it in future chapters. But since I don't know at the moment, I'll just say it's made of diamond until I figure out the true material its skin is made of.

"Not bad. It seems this monster can create crystals out of thin air and even reshape its body into weapons you can use to attack. Judging by the force you're applying and the hardness of the material, I'd say it's a diamond-like mineral. Against a normal person, you'd be unbeatable, but unfortunately for you... I'm not normal" - Zastin said with a smile.

Seeing that smile, I tried to back away, but before I could do so, Zastin gave me a strong kick that sent me flying dozens of meters until I crashed into a tree.

"Akira!" – Lala said worriedly.

"Don't worry, Lala-sama. That didn't hurt Akira-sama much" – Peke said trying to reassure her.

Despite being kicked hard, the hardness of Diamondhead's body attenuated most of the blow and the pain was minimal.

"If this is all, I'm disappointed" - Zastin said.

"Tch, I've only just started!" – I exclaimed.

The battle resumed once more, but it was clear that Zastin was overwhelmingly superior to Akira. This wasn't just because of Akira's lack of combat experience (which was almost nonexistent), but also because he was using that alien form for the first time and couldn't fully take advantage of its abilities. Little by little, Akira began to grow tired.

"Haa... haa..." – I gasped.

30% of Zastin's power was terrifying. Until now I had not stopped attacking him, but Zastin had dodged all my attacks. He had not been able to land a single blow!

This monster has impressive capabilities and potential, but unfortunately, your lack of combat experience prevents its true power from shining through. It's a shame because when I heard from those weaklings that you defeated them with a single punch, I thought this fight would be interesting. But I was wrong... I overestimated you" - Zastin said.

That alien's powers might have given him headaches, but Akira lacked the experience necessary for it, so his attacks soon became predictable and easy to dodge.

"Hehe. I haven't given up yet. Why do you seem to believe that you have won?" – I asked with a smile.

"It's true, I won" - Zastin said.

"What do you want...? Gah...!" – I exclaimed.

Zastin had punched Akira several times harder than before that he had sent him flying and crashed to the ground meters later.

"S-shit!" – I said in pain.

This time the blow had been so strong that even with Diamondhead's strong and sturdy body I had suffered such damage that I could not get up.

"You lost. Come on, Lala-sama" – Zastin said.

"No, I won't go with you, Akira!" – Lala exclaimed.

Lala, worried about Akira's condition, tried to come to his rescue, but Zastin grabbed her arm at an incredible speed.

"Let go of me!" – Lala exclaimed.

"I'm sorry, but I can't do that, Lala-sama. Your ex-fiancé has lost and I must take you back" – Zastin said.

"No!" - exclaimed Lala.

She tried to break free, but Zastin's strength prevented him from doing so.

"Shit! Why couldn't I even fight him?" – I cursed.

Because of me, because of my inexperience, I had lost. But was I really going to let them take Lala away in front of me? No, I can't allow that!

Suddenly, a dazzling green light came out of the Omnitrix, alarming even Zastin, who let go of Lala's arm who immediately, seeing herself freed, went to Akira to help him.

"Akira. Are you okay?" – Lala asked worriedly.

"I..." – I tried to say.

[Attention: A threat has been detected that the host cannot handle in his current condition!]

It was a robotic voice, coming from the Omnitrix.

[Accessing to the Omnitrix database...]

"What's going on?" Zastin asked, clearly confused.

[An alien capable of neutralizing the threat has been identified!]

"What?" – I asked without understanding.

[A forced transformation has been initiated!]

Suddenly, an extremely intense greenish light illuminated the entire place, blinding even Zastin.

When the light faded, a completely different figure stood in the same spot. It was a tall, sleek humanoid clad in silver and black armor, with glowing green energy streaks pulsing across his body. His face was hidden behind a featureless helmet with a sharp, V-shaped visor, giving him an air of cold precision. Sharp, blade-like plates adorned his arms and legs, and on his chest, the Omnitrix symbol glowed brightly, radiating raw power.

In the eyes of anyone he looked intimidating. Anyone who saw him would recoil in fright, but Zastin didn't, and instead of this, he smiled.

"This is going to get interesting. What can do this monster?" – Zastin asked.

"Now you'll see" – I said in a piercing voice.

The moment I transformed, I instantly understood his abilities. The name of this alien's race was Bladiorian, from the planet Edastra. I didn't learn much else, as the Omnitrix only provided information about his species and homeworld. However, I instinctively knew what his powers were. Bladiorians are a race of expert swordsmen, capable of generating swords made entirely of pure energy. They possess unmatched speed and reflexes. Even if their swords are broken, they can regenerate them effortlessly. This was an extremely powerful alien designed for close-combat sword fighting. I decided to name him... Omni Sword.

"Then come to me" - Zastin said.

That monster looked far more intimidating and powerful than the previous one, but… how much stronger could he really be? It was clear that Akira was still a rookie with no real battle experience. No matter how powerful he had become, there was no way his strength could've increased enough to match someone like Zastin.

But Zastin was wrong, because by the time he finished that thought, Akira was already standing right in front of him.

"What?!" - Zastin exclaimed in shock.

He had only let his guard down for a second. How had Akira closed the distance so quickly?

Akira's speed had caught him completely off guard, but it was too early to be surprised. Without warning, Akira created a sword of pure energy and swung it toward Zastin.

"Shit!" - Zastin cursed.

He raised his own sword just in time to block the blow, but Akira's strength had increased drastically, so much so that the impact sent Zastin skidding back several meters.

"Do you find me more interesting now?" – I asked in an intimidating voice.

"Yes, this is what I wanted!" – Zastin nodded.

"Well, let's settle this once and for all!" – I said.

"Come on, hit me with everything you have!" – exclaimed Zastin.

The battle resumed, but now, Akira's inexperience was nowhere to be seen. He fought Zastin with a dexterity that was uncharacteristic of a novice. Where once he had seemed like someone who had never fought before, now it appeared as though he had been through dozens of battles and spent years perfecting his technique. Akira was a completely different fighter.

"Unbelievable, Akira is actually fighting Zastin on equal footing!" - Lala exclaimed.

"Yeah. Before, he couldn't even land a hit, but now it seems like Zastin-sama is in trouble" - Peke nodded, her voice filled with surprise.

What kind of monster had Akira transformed into? Peke couldn't even begin to understand it.

Zastin, for his part, was also taken aback. Until now, he had only been using 5% of his power, easily overwhelming Akira with just two punches. But after Akira transformed into that rare monster, his strength had increased exponentially. And as the battle raged on, Zastin had to raise his power to match Akira's. 10%... 15%... 20%... 25%... And it kept increasing.

"It can't be! Your power has increased in a huge way! Now you don't even look like someone inexperienced in battles!" – Zastin exclaimed in surprise.

Zastin had already reached 30% of his full power, matching Akira at last or so he believed.

"Let's make it more interesting!" – I exclaimed.

Next, I created another energy sword and a blue-colored aura began to surround my body.

By doing that, Akira's strength increased again causing Zastin to have to retreat and use more power. He now had to deal with two nearly unbreakable energy swords and a speed that had almost doubled. 35%... 40%... ¡45%! The strength Zastin was using kept increasing, but that didn't mean Akira had the full advantage. In fact, he was using all of his current power. The Bladiorians were aliens capable of wielding far more power, but due to their lack of experience and the fact that this Bladiorian was still young, he could only wield a portion of his original power. In fact, if the battle continued, Akira would lose in a few seconds.

[5 minutes remaining]

And as if that were not enough, there were only 5 minutes left for the transformation to finish.

"Enough, you have passed!" – said Zastin.

Saying that, Akira stopped and immediately distransformed, falling to the ground on his left knee. Seeing him, Lala quickly went to help him and helped him up.

"Did I really pass?" – I asked curiously.

"By far, although it seems that wielding the power of that monster puts a great burden on your body, so be careful in the future" - Zastin said.

"That's true!" – Lala said hopefully.

"You can go. I will contact Your Majesty shortly. But remember that you will have to meet him tomorrow" – Zastin said.

"What? Will we have to go to where he is?" – I asked curiously.
