"Kurotsuchi?"
All three of them were startled, clearly not expecting Kurotsuchi to suddenly attack them.
At that moment, it was too late to use ninjutsu to defend; they could only dodge separately.
Then, they all clearly heard a sharp cracking sound, like the snapping of a tree branch.
Immediately after came Onoki's miserable scream.
"Ah! My back! My back!"
They turned to see Onoki hunched over, clutching his waist, face twisted in pain.
"Sensei, are you okay?"
Akatsuchi hurried over to check on Onoki's condition.
"Hahahahahaha! Old man, now you know how amazing I am!"
Seeing her grandfather clutching his waist in agony, Kurotsuchi, that ever-dutiful granddaughter, burst out laughing, utterly delighted by her revenge.
Thud!
Seeing his daughter gloating, Kitsuchi immediately lost his temper and smacked her on the head without mercy.
"Ah!"
Now it was Kurotsuchi's turn to wear the mask of pain.
"You little brat, were you trying to kill your grandfather?"
Kitsuchi didn't show the slightest hint of pity. If he didn't discipline her now, he feared that when he grew old, this girl would be the one pulling his oxygen tube out.
"That's because you don't know what Grandpa did!"
Kurotsuchi protested angrily, what kind of grandfather tarnished his own granddaughter's reputation like that?
Kitsuchi looked confused, "What did your grandfather do?"
Kurotsuchi shouted, furious, "The rumors about me and Aoba, Grandpa was the one who spread them!"
"Huh?"
Kitsuchi's eyes went wide, "How do you know that?"
"Of course Aoba told me, huh?"
Kurotsuchi suddenly froze mid-sentence, staring at her father in disbelief as she noticed the strange look on his face.
"You… you already knew about this?"
"Uh…"
Kitsuchi's expression turned awkward. He had been involved—after all, Onoki was the one who made the decision, and he was the one who carried it out.
"Kurotsuchi, I was actually against it at first…"
"Oh, great! Just great!"
Kurotsuchi's anger was about to explode.
No wonder she couldn't find a single clue, the whole thing had been orchestrated by the two most powerful people in the village.
"Akatsuchi, take Lord Tsuchikage and run!"
Kitsuchi shouted the order, then immediately turned to flee.
With Kurotsuchi's temper, she was sure to start throwing punches.
And since they really had done something underhanded, they had no face to fight back. Better to run first and explain later when her rage cooled down.
Akatsuchi was completely dumbfounded by the sudden turn of events, but his body was already lifting off the ground.
Onoki had used the Light–Weight Rock Technique, taking him straight up into the air.
His waist still hurt, but he'd long expected this day would come, just not this soon.
'That Aoba really has no sense of restraint.'
"You stop right there!", Kurotsuchi shouted, immediately chasing after them.
But with the three of them enhanced by the Light–Weight Rock Technique, they moved far too quickly, leaving her chasing in vain from a distance.
———
While Kurotsuchi was chasing after her grandfather and father, inside Tsunade's room, the soft bed had been transformed into something like a trampoline, Boing! Boing! Boing!, bouncing up and down.
Tsunade bit her lip tightly, her body moving in a continuous exchange of kinetic and potential energy, until eventually, under the law of conservation of energy, everything came to rest.
After that round of motion, Tsunade stopped as well, wiping the sweat from her heated body, "Brat… do you like children?"
"Huh?", Aoba, still reeling from the "avalanche" he had just witnessed, hadn't even processed her words. Only when the "avalanche" ceased did he finally regain awareness.
"Sensei, what's wrong? Why'd you give out so quickly today?"
"I'm being serious with you!"
Tsunade's breathing quickened again in irritation, and the snowdrift that had just stopped began moving once more.
She grabbed his head tightly against her, deciding that if he liked this so much, she'd make sure he paid the price for it.
Aoba's face was suddenly pressed against something soft like an airbag, leaving him nearly breathless.
"Did you hear what I said?"
Tsunade shifted her hips slightly as she asked, but there was no response.
Instinctively, she looked down, and realized that what was supposed to be punishment had turned into something else entirely.
"You brat!", Tsunade roared.
Aoba instantly lifted his head, looking perfectly obedient, "Sensei, go on, I'm listening."
Tsunade sighed helplessly. After hesitating a moment, she repeated, "I asked if you like children."
Aoba thought for a bit, "Does Sensei like them?"
"They're alright, I guess. Soft, warm, and smell nice, like little dumplings."
Tsunade answered without thinking.
Whenever there was an emergency at the Konoha Hospital, she'd lend a hand. Sometimes she'd stop by the maternity ward and play with newborns for a while, until they cried, then hand them back.
"Then if Sensei likes them, I like them too," Aoba replied.
Tsunade pursed her lips, "In that case…"
"How about letting Shizune give you one?"
"?"
Aoba stared blankly, speechless.
Tsunade couldn't help but chuckle.
"What? You wanted me to be the one to have it?"
"Having one and raising it myself would be such a pain. Better to let Shizune have a baby for you, AHN!"
She suddenly gasped, as if in pain.
"You brat!"
Tsunade glared at Aoba, who had started getting restless again.
But that only seemed to make him go faster.
In the end, Tsunade had to draw on all her taijutsu control, using ninja-level body coordination to steady her rhythm.
Before long, she was once again gasping for air, feeling utterly exasperated. She thought bitterly that all the water she'd drunk tonight had been wasted.
Aoba then stopped holding back.
Tsunade's light-brown eyes grew misty with heat.
She felt like a small boat tossed about in a violent storm, adrift in a sea of waves.
"Damn it!"
Collapsed on the bed, Tsunade looked utterly defeated, like a salted fish washed up on shore.
"No more… I surrender…"
She couldn't keep using her Yin Seal like this, sooner or later, it'd drain her dry.
When it was finally over, Tsunade flipped over and leaned shoulder-to-shoulder with Aoba against the headboard, both breathing heavily.
"So, what do you think? Shizune definitely wouldn't say no to you."
Tsunade returned to the topic of having a child.
Aoba stroked her hair and shook his head, "The ninja world is too chaotic right now. Let's wait until things settle down."
"Mm."
Tsunade said nothing more. The room returned to calm.
"Oh, right, Sensei."
Aoba suddenly remembered something, "Among the nine tailed beasts, aside from the Five Great Ninja Villages, there's still one left outside, right?"
Tsunade nodded, "The Seven-Tails is in the Hidden Waterfall Village. Although that village has special sealing methods for tailed beasts, its overall strength isn't very high."
