The young man shrugged, but his heart swelled at the compliment. "I had Goyeon with me."

Junghwa stared at his disciple for a moment before putting the herbs down. "It's good that you've found yourself a valuable companion, but you shouldn't rely on his strength too much. You'll have to fight many battles where he won't be by your side. Don't become complacent."
"Of course, master. I'll consider your words," he said as he bowed.
