Wooyun ran to the right the minute the horn blew.
They weren't explicitly told that the horn was an indicator to begin, but it didn't take a genius to figure it out. Chan-woo, Dong-geun, Dasom, and Gyu-min took the same direction as him. They ran a few kilometres before coming to a halt. The others caught up one by one, breathless but alert.
Before them, a faint shimmer in the air solidified into a wooden archway that hadn't been there a moment ago. The planks were warped, ancient, and darkened as though they'd been burned, yet the carvings along the beams remained sharp and deliberate. At the very top, a strip of pale parchment fluttered without wind, bearing four deep crimson characters: The Cardinal Gate.
