The Grand Meeting Hall was brimming with tense energy. This was a mandatory meeting where all essential members of the sect were expected to be in attendance. The Court of Elders was standing at the right side of the hall, with their direct disciples standing behind them. Next to the elders were the Dark Assembly Branch Leaders, and behind them stood their direct disciples. Even Euikyung, the captain of the Martial Branch, was in attendance.
On the left side of the hall stood the Court of Guardians, followed by the young masters and ladies of the Seven Great Families, and their respected patriarchs and matriarchs. They all bowed their heads, chanting, "chant". The Sect Leader, Demon Lord Baek Junghwa, took a seat on his chair as First Guardian Lee Jaha stood at his right.
The Demon Lord scanned the room, as if searching for someone. "Where is the Young Lord?" He called, his deep and rich voice booming inside the hall.
