Junghwa looked down at the food, then up at Wooyun. "I'm surprised," he said with that usual unbothered tone. "You cook better than expected. That meal you gave me… was it also your doing?"
"Yeah." Wooyun scratched the back of his neck, unsure how to take the compliment. "I was hungry and made too much. I figured gifting some leftovers would be better than wasting food. I hope it was appetizing at least."
"Mm," Junghwa murmured. "It was good. Rather unusual, but good."
"…I'm glad you liked it."
He sat across from Junghwa, watching as the Demon Lord lifted his chopsticks and took a bite of rice, followed by a spoonful of soup. Wooyun didn't expect much. He knew it was a simple meal, plain, barely seasoned, but it was warm and filling.
"Do you cook for yourself often?" Junghwa asked, surprising Wooyun.
