Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

Lucifer, Asmodeus, and Mammon were in a dark and gloomy underground cavern, seated around a stone table, with shadows cast on the walls like ghosts of ancient sins. The only light came from the flames of an infernal fire crackling in a corner, illuminating their figures, disfigured by hatred and ambition.

"Our dear one is wasting his time with that stupid idea of redemption. I will not allow it. You two, eliminate those envoys of Jesus without mercy. I want to see their bodies on the ground," said Lucifer, his voice echoing with the resonance of the underworld, filled with contained fury.

"Of course, Your Majesty. After that, we can enjoy our passionate meeting, oh Luci," replied Asmodeus with a lascivious smile, sensually caressing Lucifer's chest as if his burning gaze could incinerate everything around him.

"All right, but only if you pay me. Then I'll take care of those damned kids," said Mammon disdainfully, his laughter dripping with venom as his eyes gleamed with a nearly palpable greed.

"You're a real mammon," Lucifer replied, pulling a handful of golden coins out of nowhere, which fell onto the table with a metallic clink that reverberated in the darkness.

Mammon laughed, his eyes shining with the greed that defined him, quickly stashing the coins into his clothes, his laughter echoing through the cavern. Asmodeus, without missing a beat, continued to insinuate himself toward Lucifer, biting his neck provocatively while Lucifer smiled with a wickedness capable of breaking a soul.

"Well, it's my business, my friend," said Mammon, standing up and taking Asmodeus by the wings, leaving behind a trail of shadows that quickly disappeared into the depths of hell.

"Goodbye, my fallen angel," said Asmodeus with a mischievous smile, vanishing into the darkness with his companion.

Lucifer watched with a sadistic grin as he settled onto his obsidian throne, an imposing figure in a sea of infinite darkness. His eyes gleamed with malicious intent as he prepared for the chaos that would soon be unleashed.

In Kutichay's house, a warm and cozy air filled the space. The soft aroma of freshly baked chicken bread mixed with the sound of laughter and friendly conversation. Camila was focused on her work, shaping the bread, while Daniel and Rosenda enjoyed a cheerful conversation at the table.

"Kutichay is a true example of faith. I'm so proud of him," said Rosenda, snuggling next to Daniel, enjoying the peace of the moment.

"No one can forgive what his father did, but Kutichay did. Even though he was responsible for the death of our teacher César and his Aunt Liz," exclaimed Daniel, hugging Rosenda affectionately.

Camila finished preparing the bread and went upstairs to Aunt Liz's room, carrying the steaming tray in her hands. Upon entering, she approached Kutichay, who was sitting near his aunt's bed, silently gazing around the room.

"Are you hungry?" Camila asked gently, her voice heavy with concern for her friend.

"Yes, thank you," replied Kutichay, taking the chicken bread and feeling the warmth of the gesture that surrounded him.

Camila sat next to him, resting her head on his shoulder, which made Kutichay blush instantly. It was a small gesture, but full of meaning.

"I feel so safe when I'm near you," Camila said, smiling with a tenderness that made Kutichay's heart beat faster.

"You're welcome," replied Kutichay, nervous but at the same time determined not to pull away from her.

With a sigh, Camila gently stroked his face, leaning slowly toward his lips, the air charged with a palpable tension. The distance between them shrank until Camila whispered:

"May I?"

Kutichay, feeling the warmth of her closeness, answered with a soft "yes." In that moment, their lips met in a gentle, tender kiss, yet full of intense emotion that enveloped their hearts. When they parted, both were visibly embarrassed, blushing at what they had just shared.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that," Camila said, ashamed of the sudden action.

"It's okay, I liked it," replied Kutichay, hiding his face in his hands, embarrassed but relieved.

However, before they could process what had happened, a dark shadow burst into the room. The light went out instantly, and the air became dense and heavy, as if the darkness itself wanted to swallow them.

Kutichay drew his sword in a swift motion, immediately moving to defend Camila, ready to protect her from whatever was coming.

Ishnofel appeared out of nowhere, his figure towering over them like an imposing, shadowy being.

"Dad," said Kutichay, lowering his sword upon recognizing the presence of his father, who had left behind his old demonic mask.

Ishnofel knelt down, removing his demonic helmet, revealing the face of Sumaq, Kutichay's father, marked by the scars of his betrayal and suffering.

"I'm sorry, my son. I let myself be consumed by hatred and rage, and allowed Lucifer to manipulate me. I have done horrible things; I killed your aunt and your teacher, but I regret it. Forgive me, son," said Sumaq, tears falling like rivers of lava, burning his soul.

Kutichay knelt and hugged his father, trying to calm his pain, as if by doing so he could erase the scars from his heart.

"I forgive you. What I really need is my father. Even though you weren't there in my childhood, I forgive you for all the damage you caused. I love you, Dad," said Kutichay, tears falling from his eyes.

"I forgive you too, even though you killed my grandparents. I can see you truly regret it," added Camila, smiling tenderly as she felt the tension between them begin to fade.

At that moment, Rosenda and Daniel came upstairs, finding the moving scene between Sumaq and his son. The young people looked on with amazement and respect.

"That's what you call redemption," clarified Daniel with a smile, understanding the power of that moment.

"Yes, it looks like Ishnofel redeemed himself out of love for his son," replied Rosenda, full of pride for the sacrifice Sumaq had made to find his own forgiveness.

Suddenly, a dark presence was felt in the air, heavy and oppressive. Sumaq, sensing the threat, tensed up, and in an instant, the window glass shattered with a deafening crash, and a dark wind filled the room.

"Traitor, we gave you everything and this is how you repay us!" shouted Asmodeus, his voice thundering with infernal rage, his eyes burning with fury and lighting up the room with his wrath.

"I didn't think you'd sink so low, Ishnofel," said Mammon, his macabre grin showing a cold violence as he drew his sword, reflecting the moonlight with a sinister gleam.

Asmodeus was the first to attack, launching himself like a snake, so fast that the room filled with a warm breeze from the wind of his movement. Sumaq reacted with agility, blocking the sword of lust, the impact resounding like thunder in the air. The clash of metals echoed like a deep lament as Sumaq, with supernatural skill, landed a precise blow to Asmodeus's stomach, sending him staggering.

With unstoppable determination, Sumaq grabbed Asmodeus's wings and, with inhuman strength, hurled him through the wall, which crumbled as if made of paper. The fight continued in a frenzy, the combatants teleporting like shadows between flashes of light, their bodies clashing with the sound of metal resonating through the void.

"Can you see anything?" asked Kutichay, his voice trembling with confusion as he tried to follow the fleeting flashes of the battle.

"It looks like they're teleporting," replied Daniel, his eyes searching through the shadows but only catching the brief flicker of the figures in combat.

Sumaq, with a precise and lethal move, stopped Mammon's sword in midair and, with superhuman strength, drove it deep into Mammon's stomach, who fell to his knees from the impact. Then, Asmodeus's body came flying toward Mammon, who barely managed to dodge it.

"Looks like we underestimated you," said Asmodeus, breathing heavily, his voice shaking with rage and pain as the two demons began to retreat into the shadows.

"This time you won, but we'll be back. Lucifer won't be pleased, traitor," exclaimed Mammon, his words dripping with threat as both disappeared in a trail of darkness, leaving the house in silence.

Kutichay, still trembling, approached his father, feeling a deep gratitude in his heart.

"You were amazing, Dad," said Kutichay, hugging Sumaq tightly, feeling the steady and protective heartbeat of his father.

"I'll do anything for you, champ," replied Sumaq, full of pride and determination, aware that the battle was just beginning, but that his love for his son would drive him to fight to the end.
