It normally takes time in her universe to find someone madly obsessed with you, and there must be time before you are claimed as his.
It was hard to make up her mind. Remaining here meant a lifetime of hell with Tyler—and God knows what else might befall her if she stayed. Running away with him did not promise a life of roses and smooth sailing. It might be much worse.
