In the Emersons mansion,
Caroline was packing her clothes in her box. She was preparing to travel to Germany for a business trip some few days back, Sophie had appeared claiming to want to know her. And here she is still not gone. And for some reason best known to her, she misses him so damn bad. How she wished she didn't break up with him. She felt stupid and foolish at the same time. And who the hell is this Gregor man? Why did he make her break up with her boyfriend.
She packed all her clothes in her box and zipped it before dragging it out of her room. After she was done,she locked her room door and dragged her box down the hallway. While she was dragging her box, two maids came before her and bowed their heads.
"Second young madam, let us take it to your car". One of the maids said head bowed and Carie nodded her head while the maids helped her carried her box downstairs to the car garage.
Carie decided to visit her mother and let her know she'd be going to Germany for some business meeting. So her mum won't worry about her absence. With that thought in her mind, she went to her parents room.
Reaching in front of the door, she knocked on it gently.
KNOCK KNOCK
"Come in". Said Mrs Emerson with a calm voice.
Carie pushed the door opened and entered inside.
"Oh my baby girl. What brings you here my child?" She asked with a filter of surprise in her tone.
"Mummy, I'd be going to Germany for some business meeting. So I came to inform you so you won't be worried about my absence ". Carie explained calmly and her mother raised her eyebrows in confusion. She knew her daughter very well. Carie won't just come and inform her of her travel. And moreover why is she traveling alone? Her mother thought.
"Oh child, what's wrong? You don't look good. " Her mother said worriedly.
Carie pursed her lips hard: knowing her mother very well. Her mother could know at one glance that something was wrong with her.
She suddenly broke her strong facade and a hot powerful tears rolled down her cheeks like a broken dam surprising her mother further and making her more worried.
"What happened Carie?" Mrs Emerson asked standing up and went to pull Carie into her warm embrace.
Carie kept crying silently. Her eyes became very misty as she couldn't bring herself to say it all.
"Cry it all out and tell me child. Who offended you? Was it Charles? Did you both had a fight?" Her mother asked worriedly stroking her back gently.
Carie kept crying profusely until no more tears rolled down her cheeks.
After crying finished, she pulled away and stared at her mother with her red and puffy face.
"I was forced to break up with Charles and now he doesn't want to talk to me or listen to me. I have been trying to tell him indirectly but he had refused to listen to me. I feel half of my soul broken and damaged."
"Mum, I really love him alot. I can't live without him". She cried again.
Her heart had been broken and utterly shattered ever since the day Charles embarrassed her at the restaurant. Mrs Emerson didn't say anything and just allowed her daughter to cry. She knew not to interfere in her children's relationship life. So she just allowed Carie to cry out her heart. Once Carie was done, she finally spoke in a calm tone,
"If you want him to listen to you. I will advise you to tell him the truth and the reason why you decided to break up with him. I won't criticize you or him. And also I won't interfere. You are all grown up, so I strongly believe you can overcome this". Her mother explained in a warm tone. Carie cleaned her tears and kept staring at her mother In awe. How could God give her such a mother that could ease her pain by believing in her? This was so beautiful.
She thought with a deep sigh.
"Fine mum, I will tell him but I'm scared he'd not want to listen to me ". She said solemnly. Her heart was beating erratically in her chest. She knew that Charles was like Logan in some way. He was a hard nut to crack and once he made up his mind to do something. He will do it and that's what scared her. She didn't want to embarrass her self once again. She will try one more time and if he refuses, she will finally give up on accepting him back. With that thought in mind, she hugged her mum.
"Thanks mum". She said softly.
Her mother hugged her back and smiled.
"Don't worry. Whatever that has made you break up with Charles. Fight it." Her mother encouraged her with a proud smile.
Carie pulled away and nodded.
She kissed her mother's cheeks and waved her goodbye and left. Once she left her mother's room, she suddenly felt a powerful courage surge through her. With that, she left the mansion and entered her car and pressed the gas pedal and started the engine of the car and drove out of the car garage.
Meanwhile at the hospital,
Logan was staring at his sleeping wife. She looks so peaceful and beautiful like a sleeping beauty. Free of worries. Subconsciously, a small smile spread on his lips and his hands involuntarily held hers.
Hannah who was still unconscious slowly fluttered her lashes. Her eyes quivered showing she wa about to regain consciousness. Her eyes felt heavy and her head also felt lightheaded. She groaned throatily alerting the man who was holding her hand.
Hannah felt something warm and large holding her gently and her for some reasons, her heart thumped fiercely in her chest and she couldn't help but turn to look at right and was rightly stunned to see him seated In front of her and not only was he sitting with her, he was holding her hand, their fingers entwined together.
