Gray couldn't respond to that as he knew exactly what happened. it didn't even take a month before Gloria died, her life taken away in a car crash, left to burn alive and no remains left to bury.
She snorted when she saw him silent and continued, "I may understand that something was happening between the two, but can't he get justice for her first? Why must he marry so quickly like that? Why ….?" She teared up as she thought of Gloria.
Gray could only walk towards her and embraced her in a comforting hug.
"I don't know what is in his mind or what happened, but what I know is, in this life, Charlotte, I will never forsake you or make you suffer. I will always love you and protect you. Always bear that in mind."
Charlotte didn't respond to his declaration but let him hug her, and feel the warmth of his body warming her heart which felt slightly cold because of Xander's ruthlessness.
