Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Gu Yue Na’s Appetite

The fourth floor of the library was exceptionally quiet. At this time, there was no one else present except for Yun Ze.

The higher the floor of the library, the more valuable and fewer the books. The books on the fourth floor were likely less than one-tenth of those on the third floor, but in terms of value, the books here far exceeded those of the third floor, involving much higher-level content.

Yun Ze had already toured the fourth floor yesterday, and he now had a good understanding of its layout and where the books were arranged. With a specific purpose in mind, he came to the section containing information about mecha. He skimmed through the books on the shelves and ultimately selected three on the subject of black mecha manufacturing.

There were also books on the manufacturing of red mechas, but they were written in a very basic manner and were not very helpful to him at this stage, so he decided not to review them for now.

Using his identity card, Yun Ze entered an independent reading room where he began reviewing the materials. The independent reading rooms were for single use, so he wouldn't be disturbed. Yun Ze had developed an interest in mechas over the past few years, and had already grasped the basics. He had borrowed books from the Royal Academy of Sun Moon on mechas of white, yellow, and purple colors. If he were to start making mechas now, he would have no problem with yellow ones.

He had also mastered the theories of purple mechas, but due to his cultivation limitations, he couldn't yet turn the theory into a physical mecha. He was now learning about the theories of black and red mechas. Once he mastered these, he could begin making mechas once his cultivation increased.

After several years of research, Yun Ze had already come up with a good idea. Once realized, this would bring the mecha technology of this world to a whole new level.

He spent the entire morning in the reading room, and if it weren't for Gu Yue Na coming to find him, he might have continued reading.

The Sun Moon Royal Academy had six cafeterias, with the Ming Yue Cafeteria being the best. The food there was made from high-quality ingredients, offering high nutritional value and energy. Not only did it fill you up, but it also strengthened the body and enhanced cultivation speed.

However, the price of these meals was very high, with even a simple meal costing thousands of Federation coins, which discouraged many students.

Only students with significant wealth or exceptional talent, who had free meal privileges, could afford to eat there.

The Ming Yue Cafeteria wasn't large, but it was beautifully decorated, like a high-end restaurant. The tables were mostly for four people, with soundproof panels along the edges to reduce noise during meals.

As soon as Gu Yue Na entered the cafeteria, she attracted the attention of many, as she was simply too beautiful to ignore. It was impossible not to notice her.

Gu Yue Na was used to this attention and ignored it, leading Yun Ze to the counter to get their food.

They got seven dishes in the largest portions available, enough to feed several adult soul masters.

Yun Ze's appetite was normal. He could absorb enough energy from his surroundings while cultivating to replenish his blood and energy, so he didn't need much food.

If he relied solely on food to replenish his energy like before, his blood and energy would be enormous, and he would need to consume billions of living beings with every meal.

If he continued eating like that, it wouldn't be long before every creature in all realms would be consumed.

Gu Yue Na, however, couldn't absorb energy from the environment to replenish her blood and energy. She had to eat a lot of food, or she would feel weak.

Of the seven dishes, six were prepared for her, which was her usual portion size.

The first time someone saw Gu Yue Na eat, they were stunned. It was hard to imagine that such a beautiful woman could have such a huge appetite.

Yun Ze was aware of her appetite and wasn't surprised. He ate normally while occasionally chatting with her.

Halfway through their meal, a tall, handsome young man approached their table with a smile, carrying a tray of fine food.

"Little brother, can I sit next to you?" The young man asked with a smile, reaching out to pat Yun Ze's head. His eyes were locked on Gu Yue Na, filled with admiration and desire.

His physique was enough to match that of an adult, but he was only fourteen or so years old—he had just matured early.

"I don't like being called 'little brother.' You can call me by my name if you want. But if you do it again, I'll get angry."

"I'm Yun Ze, just call me by my name," Yun Ze said calmly, grabbing the young man's hand, preventing him from patting his head. He turned his head to face him, his tone calm.

"Also, you better not touch my head, or you'll die," Yun Ze said.

Though his tone was calm and emotionless, his words sent a chill down the young man's spine.

The young man quickly averted his gaze, shocked by Yun Ze's words. When their eyes met, the young man felt a fear he couldn't explain, and he looked away.

Gu Yue Na coldly glared at the young man and said, "Long Chen, I've already warned you. If you keep bothering me, I won't be polite."

"Did you really think I was just joking?" Gu Yue Na's voice carried a murderous intent. She was genuinely angry with Long Chen.

This man had been persistently chasing after her, but his real purpose was clear to her. He wanted to take advantage of her beauty and her bloodline, thinking that by getting close to her, he could improve his own bloodline.

She felt no attraction to him and had rejected his advances many times, but he never listened, and his persistent pursuit had drained her patience.

Long Chen saw that Gu Yue Na was truly angry and quickly shook his head, trying to explain.

"Nana, don't misunderstand. I'm not trying to harass you."

"I just thought Yun Ze was so cute, I wanted to sit next to him. I've never met such an adorable little brother before."

"Little brother, don't be scared. I just wanted to pat your head because you're so cute. But since you don't like it, I won't do it," Long Chen said, showing Yun Ze a smile that he thought was gentle, but he didn't try to pat Yun Ze's head anymore.

"Hm?" Long Chen frowned slightly as he realized his hand was still being held tightly by Yun Ze, unable to move.

"Heh, little brother, you're quite strong. But you should let go. If I really used some force, I might hurt you," Long Chen smiled and said.

He truly saw Yun Ze as a child, speaking to him as if trying to comfort a little kid.

The sense of unease he had felt earlier had already been dismissed, and he didn't take Yun Ze's warning seriously. He continued calling Yun Ze "little brother," unaware of the danger he was in.

Gu Yue Na looked at Long Chen with a gaze that seemed to view him as a fool.

"Yun Ze has lived far longer than you ever will, and you're still calling him little brother? You're practically asking for death," she thought to herself.
