Hearing Tazuna, Naruto nodded in admiration, then curiously asked, "Does this bridge have a name?"
Tazuna shook his head, "Not yet."
Naruto's face lit up with pride, "Then leave it to me! I've inherited the naming talent of the Fourth Hokage. When it comes to naming things, no one can beat me except the Fourth Hokage."
"Everyone, look! Someone's flying in the sky!"
Yota suddenly pointed to the sky, exclaiming.
At Yota's exclamation, everyone looked up. Two giant birds were chasing each other.
The leading bird was white, clearly not a real bird but something created using some kind of jutsu.
The pursuing bird was a large, real eagle, likely a summoned creature.
Two people were on each bird. Due to the distance and light, Kakashi and the others could only see silhouettes, not their faces or clothing.
"Everyone be careful! It might be an enemy attack!" Kakashi warned.
Clearly, the people in the sky were ninjas. Their arrival at their mission location suggested they were trying to kill Tazuna or destroy the bridge.
As Kakashi finished speaking, a white object fell from the leading white bird.
Initially small and indistinct, it grew larger as it descended, transforming into a large white clay puppet, its descent accelerating.
The puppet was cone-shaped with large wings. Its head was pointed upwards, bearing a constipated grimace that sent shivers down their spines.
This giant white puppet was Deidara's "C3: "(Large Scale Bomb)," made of explosive clay. Detonation would destroy the bridge.
Deidara, pursued by Orochimaru and Sasori, had flown over the bridge. His previous mission was to destroy this very bridge.
Since he was already there, Deidara decided to complete the mission and casually dropped the C3: Large Scale Bomb.
Seeing the falling puppet, Kakashi drew his chakra-infused kunai.
Lacking information about the puppet's capabilities, Kakashi judged it to be an Earth Release jutsu, countered by Lightning Release.
Kakashi formed a hand seal with his left hand; blue lightning crackled on his kunai.
"Lightning Release: Chidori Senbon!"
He threw his lightning-charged kunai into the air, embedding it deep into the puppet.
Though he lacked the Sharingan, Kakashi still mastered Chidori and developed related Lightning Release jutsu. Chidori Senbon was his most common technique.
He quickly formed another hand seal; the lightning on the kunai intensified.
"Lightning Release: Chidori!"
With the hand seal complete, the lightning chakra in the kunai emitted a sound far louder than Chidori—a result of the overly active lightning chakra.
With a sound like a thousand birds chirping, a massive surge of lightning spread from the kunai, engulfing the puppet, rendering it inert.
Seeing Kakashi intercept his C3: Large Scale Bomb with Lightning Release, Deidara panicked, trying to detonate the puppet. It remained unresponsive.
"Damn it!" Deidara grumbled.
To accurately drop the puppet, Deidara lowered his altitude. Sasori, pursuing him, also lowered the giant eagle puppet's altitude.
The four figures on the birds were now visible. Orochimaru and Sasori, in their Akatsuki cloaks, immediately caught Kakashi's attention.
"That's Orochimaru and Sasori from Akatsuki?" Kakashi was startled.
Because Yusuke held a high position in Konoha, his intelligence sources weren't questioned. He provided Konoha with much of his Akatsuki intelligence.
However, Akatsuki intelligence was top-secret, accessible to only a few high-ranking ninjas, including Kakashi.
"Akatsuki seems to be pursuing those two youths. If we don't interfere, they might not stop to attack us," Kakashi thought.
As Kakashi suspected, Orochimaru, though recognizing Kakashi, hadn't seen Naruto and didn't realize the Nine-Tails jinchuriki was below. He didn't recognize Sasuke and Yota. If Deidara had flown away quickly, Orochimaru and Sasori would have continued their pursuit.
"Hopefully, they'll leave. Otherwise, it'll be troublesome!"
Kakashi wouldn't be too afraid alone; he could escape even if he wasn't their opponent. But with Naruto, Sasuke, and Yota, he couldn't escape.
Naruto's voice broke Kakashi's thoughts.
"Sasuke, Yota, those guys attacking are definitely the enemy! Let's take them down!"
The three exchanged glances, silently agreeing on their plan.
"No!" Kakashi shouted, trying to stop them, but it was too late.
Naruto, Sasuke, and Yota quickly formed hand seals, unleashing a combined jutsu!
