Once everyone had gotten the answers they came for, it was about time to part ways.
Especially for Sayaka Kirasaka—her mission here was officially complete, and she needed to depart early tomorrow for High God Forest back in Kyoto. That meant turning in early tonight for some proper rest.
After all, getting from Itogami Island to Tokyo already required a high-speed rail transfer—nearly 300 kilometers, comparable to traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto itself. And once she arrived back in Kyoto, she'd still need to submit a full mission report. If she didn't head out at dawn, she wouldn't make it back by nightfall.
So Yukina Himeragi ended up being dragged off with her as well.
And just like that, the only ones left in the apartment were Bokue Keikain and Nagisa Akatsuki.
What happened next... didn't need to be spelled out.
❁❁❁❁
Steam billowed softly through the bathroom, fogging up the glass.
"Mmm—!"
Nagisa clung to Bokue tightly, her arms wrapped with everything she had, only calming down after nearly ten full seconds of gasping.
Once her mind caught up with her body, she sank back into Bokue's lap, arms still draped around him, their bodies resting in sync beneath the gentle heat of the bathwater. Light ripples shimmered around them, the warm mist filled with the familiar scent of intimacy.
Nagisa exhaled a slow, trembling breath and stretched up to nuzzle against his ear.
Her voice was soft, nearly a whimper—tinged with a subtle sob-like quiver.
"Big Bro… you're so mean. You just got back and went that hard already…"
"...?"
Bokue blinked.
To be clear, he'd already been back at the apartment for over thirty minutes. "Just got back" was a stretch. So where exactly was he supposedly coming back from in her mind?
And it's not like he went that hard… his pace was normal.
Unless—wait. Could his horsepower increase be affecting that too?
He honestly couldn't tell. But what Bokue didn't realize was that for Nagisa, simply enduring the difference between 750,000 horsepower and 990,000 was already a full-blown survival trial.
In the past, she could at least handle a few rounds before hitting her limit.
But this time?
She'd nearly blacked out on the first impact.
It was like being hit by a tidal wave—relentless, all-consuming. If they kept going at that intensity…
Just the thought made her lower half clench up involuntarily.
"What's wrong? Is your body okay?" Bokue asked, frowning.
"I'm fine, totally fine~" Nagisa chirped, squirming slightly with a tight-lipped smile. "It's probably just been too long. Getting hit with the full blast all at once kinda scrambled my head."
"Too long…?"
Bokue raised a massive question mark in his mind.
If they were going by this timeline, he could've sworn that—well, between last night and this morning—they hadn't exactly stopped at all?
So how the hell did she define "too long"?
"It's been twelve whole hours," Nagisa puffed her cheeks with mock indignation. "That's a long time!"
Before Bokue could respond, her expression turned more somber.
"But more importantly… Big Bro, doesn't this mean you'll have to leave the island soon?"
She hadn't forgotten.
Bokue had only been staying on Itogami because of the crisis in the Warlord Domain. Now that it was resolved, he'd probably go back to splitting time between his other commitments.
"Yeah, more or less."
He nodded.
Between Rias's side and Mio's, he'd neglected both for nearly a week. Now that the dust had settled here, it was only fair he checked in with them.
"So once summer break ends... you'll be stuck in Tokyo, right?"
Nagisa's voice dropped to a quiet murmur.
She wasn't selfish enough to demand Bokue spend every waking moment with her. She knew there were other girls—strong, beautiful ones—who also needed his attention.
Once school resumed, he'd be in class during the day. After school, odds were, someone else would scoop up his time.
If things continued like this… she'd only get weekends. Maybe.
That thought crushed her.
"Then... what if you transfer to Tokyo too?" Bokue offered casually, as if it were the simplest thing in the world.
It actually was a reasonable idea.
If Nagisa transferred to Tokyo, then Yukina—her legal guardian—would naturally have to follow. And Kuoh Academy did have a junior high division. It wouldn't be hard to arrange.
"But Mom would definitely worry about me… Itogami and Tokyo are so far apart."
Nagisa hesitated, conflict brewing behind her eyes.
On one hand, she did want to be with him.
On the other, her mom still worked here. If she suddenly packed up and moved 300 kilometers away, her mom would definitely panic—regardless of how strong or mature Nagisa might seem.
It wasn't about power levels. It was just… being a mom.
No parent could stay calm knowing their daughter was off living somewhere that far away.
"Hmm… I've got it."
Bokue tapped his chin.
A lightbulb went off above his head.
"If distance is the problem… let's just move Itogami closer to Tokyo."
"...Huh?"
Nagisa blinked.
She hadn't studied geography that deeply yet, so she didn't quite follow.
"Just think of Itogami Island like a big boat. I'll push it over to Tokyo and dock it there."
And honestly?
That idea wasn't as crazy as it sounded.
Itogami was an artificial island. It floated atop the ocean thanks to magical infrastructure. Technically, it wasn't anchored to anything. All Bokue had to do was move it.
"But would the Japanese government even allow that…?"
"Don't care."
He shrugged, lifting Nagisa slightly.
Because right now—it was time for round two.
❁❁❁❁
Meanwhile, far up north—beyond Tokyo, in the mountainous regions of Tōhoku—
Inside a dimly lit shrine, flickering candlelight danced across the floor.
An elderly priest sat cross-legged on the central tatami mat, his wrinkled face and sunken eyes fixed sternly upon the row of kneeling teens before him.
"Intelligence confirms that the daughter of Demon King Wilbert has appeared somewhere within the Kantō region. From this moment, she is to be marked as a surveillance priority."
"Kurumi Nonaka. Yuki Nonaka. Takashi Hayase. The three of you will locate and report any sightings. Do not engage alone."
"Yes, sir!" x3.
