[Chapter 433: The Bloody Massacre 2.0]
After spending about an hour at the Four Seasons Hotel, Edgar and his group finally left. They drove south until they disappeared from Linton Anderson's mental awareness.
After all, Linton's psychic range only covered about 22 miles (35 kilometers), and with a city as sprawling as Tokyo, it was impossible to monitor every corner.
But it didn't matter; now that he knew they headed south, it wouldn't take much effort to track them with his abilities.
It just so happened that Linton had been in Tokyo for a while, and it was about time to take Izumi Sakai and the others to see the Tokyo skyline at night.
"Hey, loves, want to go out and see the Tokyo night view tonight?" Linton asked.
"Really? Won't that interfere with your work?" Izumi asked, concerned.
"It's fine. Sometimes relaxing is necessary. As long as no one recognizes us, it should be okay."
"Darling, that's fantastic, you're the best!" Noriko Sakai and Akina Nakamori were thrilled at the idea of wandering Tokyo's nightlife with Linton.
However, since the three women were top-tier stars and Linton was a Hollywood megastar himself, going out openly was out of the question.
Fortunately, with some skillful makeup along with hats, sunglasses, and masks, they could easily blend in.
...
After half an hour, the four of them finished disguising themselves. Meena, coordinating with the hotel, arranged for an RV and an SUV. They declined the hired driver; Linton's own bodyguard would drive.
Linton and the three women sat comfortably inside the RV, with the SUV following closely behind.
Following Linton's instructions, the vehicles headed south with no particular destination -- just a casual cruise, the primary goal to search for any trace of Edgar Broomman Sr..
Once they entered the Chiyoda Ward -- the area where Edgar had vanished from Linton's mental radar -- Linton activated his powers fully and scanned the surroundings thoroughly.
Within less than half an hour, their route just reached the Chuo Ward.
In Linton's mind, he found Edgar's location near the Minato Ward, inside a hotel.
Upon close inspection, the hotel's occupants were all Edgar's men -- over ten bodyguards and more than sixty heavily armed private security personnel.
Curiously, their rooms were stocked with all kinds of high-end weaponry: submachine guns, handguns, grenades, and sniper rifles.
Had Edgar already acquired such high-quality arms from the black market, or did he have special channels for importing them?
What Linton never imagined was that Edgar had gone so far as to use Pentagon generals to dispatch military transport planes for these weapons.
But that didn't matter anymore. Now that Linton had found them, none would escape.
...
While monitoring the hotel with his mental powers, he also scanned nearby attractions.
"Sweetheart, I heard Tokyo Tower is beautiful at night and offers a great view of the whole city. How about we check it out?"
"Sure, let's go to Tokyo Tower."
"Anywhere with you is perfect."
"Whatever you say, darling."
Izumi Sakai, Noriko Sakai, and Akina Nakamori eagerly agreed.
...
The vehicles arrived at Tokyo Tower's parking lot. Before stepping out, the four double-checked their disguises and then strolled toward the tower.
Meanwhile, in Linton's mind, he noticed Edgar wrapping up dinner and arranging the next day's assignments.
---
"Tom, Ivano, you two have got temporary Tokyo Metropolitan Police enforcement authority today. Tomorrow, I'm assigning ten men each. Tom, take your team to Panasonic Electronics and, under the guise of investigation, arrest their entire negotiating squad. Ivano, head to the Hilton Hotel and snatch Linton Anderson and his party -- no exceptions."
"Understood, boss. What if they resist?"
"They won't have the choice to refuse. You are authorized to use force."
"Got it. We will carry out the mission at all costs."
"Stanford, prepare several interrogation rooms. Once they bring the captives, start intensive interrogations immediately. We need every detail on whether they're connected to Edgar's death."
---
Damn, this is lawlessness! They openly arrest people in Tokyo and run illegal interrogation rooms for torture!
One can only imagine their recklessness in America or Canada -- how many innocents would suffer under their hands?
Since they are so blatantly malicious, it's better to send them to meet their maker sooner than later. 'I'm doing the world a favor by eliminating this evil.'
With that thought, Linton stopped hesitating, sending out a tiny flying blade the size of a grain of rice silently into the night.
The flying sword quickly reached the hotel, beginning with Edgar's room. The sword light danced wildly, beheading each target with deadly precision -- the second bloody massacre had begun.
This time, Linton didn't bother distinguishing hotel staff from Edgar's men. He was willing to risk collateral damage rather than allowing any to escape.
The sword light flashed rapidly, and before anyone could react, every person inside was decapitated. The hotel became a living nightmare.
When Linton's senses detected no more survivors inside, the flying sword circled briefly and vanished without a trace.
In an instant, it shrank to the size of a tiny grain and flew back into Linton's hands, who absorbed the blade into his core.
The entire operation took less than five minutes and caused no disturbance. No alarms sounded, and no one outside noticed anything odd.
Even the three women, Meena, and Linton's bodyguard nearby detected no abnormalities, never imagining that Linton had silently beheaded over a hundred people within that span.
...
With Edgar Broomman and his group eliminated, Linton felt an immense satisfaction.
He took the phone from Meena and sent a silent command to David.
"David, proceed with the operation."
"Roger that. We'll complete the mission successfully."
---
After the call, Linton relaxed and enjoyed a pleasant visit to Tokyo Tower with the three women.
Tokyo Tower, located in Toshiba Park within Minato Ward, stands 1,089 feet tall, making it Japan's second tallest structure. At night, the tower glows in alternating red and white lights, creating a dazzling spectacle against the sky -- majestic, magical, and breathtaking.
At 818 feet up, there's a special observatory deck. Glass panels surround visitors, giving the sensation of floating above the city, far removed from everyday life.
Looking down, you see the entire expanse of Tokyo. To the west, the elegant silhouette of Mount Fuji, modestly dusted with snow, enchants the soul.
After leaving Tokyo Tower, the group didn't linger outside but drove straight back to the hotel.
Though their night outing lasted barely over two hours, Izumi Sakai, Noriko Sakai, and Akina Nakamori were deeply satisfied.
Back at the hotel, the fun wasn't over: they enthusiastically showcased their best skills, engaging in lively games with Linton...
A sweet, continuous harmony of their singing filled the air...
