Leona watched the entire scene unfold in a daze.
What caught her attention wasn't the giant's overwhelming power.
It wasn't even the countless magical arrows raining down around her.
From beginning to end, her eyes remained fixed on one person.
Rin.
The boy who had suddenly seemed like a completely different person after she collapsed.
The boy who had faced an S-rank monster with that same self-deprecating humor of his.
The boy whose movements were far beyond anything she had ever imagined from him.
The boy who had smiled reassuringly at her while protecting her from the countless magical arrows falling from the sky.
The boy who had fed her a potion with trembling hands, his eyes filled with emotions she couldn't quite understand.
And the boy who had just spewed venomous words at his opponent, intimidating him far more than necessary.
There had been something different about Rin.
Something almost frightening.
It was as if an unfamiliar rage had taken control of him.
