Lunchtime.
Normally, we would wait for one another and enjoy our meals together, but today, we decided to eat separately.
Personally, I was doing relatively fine.
Leona and Ryan, on the other hand, were having a much harder time.
Usually, the girls they hung out with acted as a natural barrier, keeping other people from approaching them too casually. However, perhaps because of the special circumstances surrounding the upcoming ball, or perhaps because Ryan had made the mistake of saying, "I haven't decided who I'm going with yet," girls I had barely even spoken to were now openly hitting on them.
Ryan was kind to practically everyone, while Leona was friendly as long as people respected her boundaries. Naturally, the two of them ended up receiving the most invitations to the ball.
