Seeing someone step up to challenge him, AI Kaiba immediately threw his arm out wide and launched into another of his signature three-part laughs. He clenched his fist dramatically and declared, "As long as we duel, the winds of battle will roar without end! Come..."

"Wait a minute," Yu Xuan interrupted bluntly, raising a hand in a 'stop' gesture.

"Mind if I tweak my deck a bit?"

AI Kaiba: "..."

The AI, naturally, had no objections. With that settled, Yu Xuan pulled out his deck and began adjusting it.

In his past life, any serious duelist knew the importance of carrying not just their main deck but also a SIDE deck (extra cards for strategic adjustments). Under official tournament rules, SIDE decks were limited to 15 cards at most, allowing players to adapt their strategies based on their opponent's deck and tactics.

But in this world? There were no such restrictions. Yu Xuan didn't hold back—he carried a SIDE deck with nearly seventy or eighty cards, more than enough to handle any situation.

If this was an AI modeled after Seto Kaiba, then there was no doubt that Blue-Eyes White Dragon would be its centerpiece. While other elements might be mixed in, the majority of its deck would likely consist of either Dragon-type monsters or Light-attribute cards.

In the movies, Kaiba was referred to as the "King of Light" by the resurrected Anubis, while Yugi (or rather, Atem) was the "King of Darkness." Their decks were intentionally designed to reflect this light-versus-darkness dichotomy.

Though Kaiba's lower-level monsters had varied attributes, his key finishers—like the Blue-Eyes system or the VWXYZ mecha series—all belonged to the Light attribute.

Considering the plot developments from Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions, Kaiba's current deck should theoretically include at least three powerful variants of Blue-Eyes: the Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon, Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon, and the True Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Whether this AI version had been updated to include them remained to be seen.

If that assumption held true, then compared to Kaiba's deck during the Duelist Kingdom arc, the proportion of Blue-Eyes-related cards would likely have increased significantly.

Using this information, Yu Xuan quickly swapped out cards in his deck. Once satisfied, he inserted the newly adjusted deck into his duel disk and stepped up to face the AI.

"I'm ready now. Let's go."

[Yu Xuan – LP 4000]

[AI Kaiba – LP 4000]

AI Kaiba took a deep breath, attempting to recapture his dramatic flair. "As long as we duel, the winds of battle will..."

"My turn. Draw."

Yu Xuan cut him off mid-sentence without hesitation.

AI Kaiba: "..."

"I'll set one monster face-down," Yu Xuan said calmly, drawing two cards from his hand. "Then I'll place two more face-down cards on the field. That ends my turn."

"It's my turn!" AI Kaiba exclaimed, drawing a card with exaggerated force, his white trench coat billowing dramatically behind him. Despite its over-the-top nature, the AI's imitation of Kaiba's persona was eerily accurate—complete with the original voice pack and signature poses.

"FULL SPEED AHEAD!" AI Kaiba shouted, striking a pose. "I summon the Lord of Dragons—'The Dragon Master!'"

*[The Dragon Master – ATK 1200]*

"Next, I activate the Spell Card 'Dragon Calling Flute' from my hand!" AI Kaiba continued. "This card can only be activated when 'The Dragon Master' is on the field. It allows me to Special Summon up to two Dragon-type monsters from my hand!"

A dragon-shaped bone flute materialized in the hands of The Dragon Master, who blew into it, producing a haunting melody that echoed through the arena.

"First, I summon this card—

—Level 6, Crystal Dragon, appear!!!"

A majestic dragon made entirely of crystal emerged, its translucent body shimmering like countless stars falling to Earth. Faint blue light pulsed across its form, exuding both celestial beauty and overwhelming dragonic majesty.

*[Crystal Dragon – ATK 2500]*

"And next, this card!" AI Kaiba struck an even more flamboyant pose, raising his second Dragon card high above his head.

"If that is endless darkness, then let it bow before the light of the dragons, staining the void with brilliance! Descend, my soul—

—Level 8, Blue-Eyes White Dragon!!!"

A storm erupted within the arena, accompanied by thunderous roars and flashes of lightning. From the radiant glow of pure white light emerged the iconic figure of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Its massive wings unfurled slowly, sending shockwaves through the venue as its earth-shaking roar reverberated throughout the space.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon, summoned!

*[Blue-Eyes White Dragon – ATK 3000]*

The crowd of spectators gasped in awe.

"Blue-Eyes White Dragon! The legendary monster itself!"

"Even if it's just virtual data, seeing this makes the trip worthwhile..."

Takeuchi couldn't help but comment, "This truly is a top-tier Duel AI developed by KaibaCorp. It perfectly recreates Seto Kaiba's tactics. Summoning so many powerful dragons in the first turn alone..."

"Indeed," Saijo nodded in agreement. "At this moment, it feels like we're witnessing Seto Kaiba himself in action."

Even the dojo students, who deeply admired Yu Xuan, couldn't help but look worried.

"This is the legendary Seto Kaiba! How could anyone possibly win against him?"

"Hmph," AI Kaiba sneered, raising his arm triumphantly. "You're nothing but a third-rate duelist wielding a fourth-rate deck. Now, witness the gap between your pitiful power and absolute strength!"

"BATTLE PHASE! I'll attack your face-down monster with 'Crystal Dragon'..."

"Hold on," Yu Xuan interjected casually. "The instant you enter the Battle Phase, I activate my face-down card.

Continuous Trap – Dragon Seal Jar!"

A stone jar shaped like a dragon's head appeared on Yu Xuan's field. An invisible force surged forth from its mouth, enveloping the entire arena in magical energy. Even mighty monsters like Crystal Dragon and Blue-Eyes White Dragon were subdued under its influence.

[Crystal Dragon – ATK 2500 → DEF 1000]

[Blue-Eyes White Dragon – ATK 3000 → DEF 2500]

"The effect of Dragon Seal Jar: As long as this trap remains on the field, all Dragon-type monsters must switch to Defense Position... and cannot change to Attack Mode."

Crowd: "!!!"

Damn, what a nasty counter!

This card was practically screaming "anti-Dragon tech" written all over it. In one fell swoop, it permanently locked down every single Dragon-type monster on the opponent's field, rendering them unable to attack.

Of course, this wasn't Yu Xuan's original idea. Dragon Seal Jar was one of the earliest anti-Dragon counters in Yu-Gi-Oh! history, dating back to the Duelist Kingdom arc. Back then, Pegasus had used it against Kaiba, infuriating him to no end.

Still, Yu Xuan remained calm. A mere attack lockdown? Honestly, he found it somewhat underwhelming. If possible, he would've preferred using Breaker the Magical Warrior or Destruction Sword—a far deadlier Dragon killer in this era. Fusion Summoning "Destruction Sword Knight" would grant him +1000 ATK for every Dragon in the opponent's graveyard, forcing all opposing Dragon-type monsters into Defense Position while negating their effects.

For non-cheating Dragon duelists, facing such a card often felt like receiving a death sentence.

Unfortunately, Destruction Sword was likely part of Yugi's exclusive lineup in this world, making it extremely rare and difficult to obtain.

But no matter—it wasn't a critical loss. While he lacked the ultimate Dragon slayer, he still had plenty of targeted counters at his disposal. Compared to those, Dragon Seal Jar was merely a basic attack lockdown—not the strongest option, but it was what he'd drawn first.

Surprisingly, the AI Kaiba seemed intelligent enough to mutter something under its breath before continuing its move.

"Fine, then I'll attack your face-down monster with 'The Dragon Master' instead!"

With both Crystal Dragon and Blue-Eyes White Dragon forcibly benched, The Dragon Master reluctantly stepped up to the plate.

"I activate another face-down card," Yu Xuan revealed his second trap. "Trap Card – Dimensional Prison.

When your monster declares an attack, it is immediately banished from play!"

Space shattered as dimensional cracks opened amidst flashes of electricity, followed by a swirling vortex. The Dragon Master froze mid-charge, panic-stricken, and tried to retreat—but it was too late. The gaping fissure swallowed him whole, banishing him to the depths of another dimension.

"That was a brilliant counter," Takeuchi analyzed. "At first glance, this trap may seem to only eliminate the weakest monster on the opponent's field, but in reality, it removes the most troublesome one."

One of the students frowned. "Huh? Why is that?"

"When 'The Dragon Master' is on the field, all Dragon-type monsters are protected from being targeted by effects," Saijo explained. "But once the biggest threat is removed, the remaining Dragons lose their protection."

The surrounding crowd began to stir.

"To think he managed to withstand such a ferocious opening assault! This kid isn't ordinary. If it were me, I'd already be lying flat..."

"But it's probably just temporary. After all, this is Seto Kaiba's AI we're talking about."

However, hearing this, Sato Kouji couldn't help but smile faintly.

You're all naive. Just two traps? This is barely scratching the surface.

The real fun is just beginning.

As one of the earliest victims of Yu Xuan's unique dueling style, he trusted his professional judgment.

After suffering consecutive setbacks, AI Kaiba drew his last two cards.

"I'll set one card face-down on the field. That ends my turn."
