Two police officers walked into the room. One officer stood next to Chen Yan, while the other quickly scanned the room and then opened the bathroom door to take a look inside.
The room was empty, with no one else besides Chen Yan.
The officer opened the wardrobe to take a look and checked behind the curtains, then shook his head at his colleague.
The officer standing next to Chen Yan looked at him, "Please show me your ID."
"Okay."
Chen Yan fetched his ID from his bag and handed it over, watching as the officer scanned it with a device. The officer looked at it carefully, visibly relaxed, and returned the ID to Chen Yan.
"Is it just you staying in this room?" the officer checking the room squinted at Chen Yan.
"Yeah, you can see there's no one else here." Chen Yan replied casually.
The officer looked at the two messy beds. "Then why are both beds so messy?"
