AT THE SAME TIME
ISABELLA'S POINT OF VIEW:
The woods grew colder as Evelyn and I walked east, guided only by the flickering system map embedded in my mind. My feet ached, but adrenaline kept me upright. Somewhere out there, seven more of us were alone. Scattered. And the clock wasn't slowing.
"Player Tracking: Player 007 – Damien Holt. Weak signal detected. Status: Stationary – unknown integrity"System said.
Damien."I said.
I glanced at Evelyn, who was chewing her lip.
"It's him, isn't it?" She asked softly.
"Yeah. Damien. The healer."I said.
Her eyes narrowed.
"He's smart. Tactical. If he's not moving…"Evelyn said.
"Then something's wrong." I finished for her.
