With a few deft gestures, Ye Wen reconfigured the soul ring's skill choice. Invincible Golden Body faded, replaced by the new Moon Stomp skill. As Jiang Nannan completed her refinement of the ring, she appeared drenched in sweat, the effort leaving her visibly drained.
"Take a moment to rest," Ye Wen said softly.
Jiang Nannan nodded, too exhausted for words. She wasn't alone Huo Yu´er was in even worse shape. While the Narcissus Jade Muscle Bone focused on enhancing the body's pathways, the Odd Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum specialized in fortifying physical strength. This was particularly beneficial for Huo Yu´er, whose body had suffered from malnutrition.
At the moment, Huo Yu´er was covered in a fine layer of white down, her body swollen to nearly twice its size. Lying flat on the ground in pain, her enlarged arms and legs looked like they had been inflated.

With his gaze fixed on Huo Yu´er, Ye Wen resolved that this world's old relics had no place in his vision. Huo Yu´er was bound for greatness, and the old guard would have to fall before her reign.
"Stay strong, Yu´er," he whispered with quiet determination.
Now, Jiang Nannan had recovered enough to stand. She glanced over to Huo Yu´er, her brow furrowing with worry as she took in her friend's pain stricken state. "Master, is Yu´er going to be okay?"
Ye Wen nodded calmly, "Yes, she'll be fine. Just as you advanced to level 45, Yu´er's strength will rise significantly. I'd like you to reach level 50 before consuming any more strengthening herbs."
"I trust your judgment, Master," Jiang Nannan said, offering a faint smile.
Just then, Huo Yu´er's tense expression relaxed, and her swollen limbs began to return to normal. The fine white down receded, revealing a gaze newly golden as Huo Yu´er opened her eyes.
"Awakened gold?" Ye Wen muttered, surprised by her transformed appearance. But he quickly realized it was not a complete awakening of her secondary martial spirit, since there were no accompanying ethereal signs.
Noticing Ye Wen's stare, a slightly self conscious Huo Yu´er quickly sprang to her feet, only to discover that her newfound strength made it hard to control her movements. She stumbled, catching herself just in time.
Ye Wen gently reassured her, "Don't worry. This is the effect of the Odd Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum; it'll take some time to adjust, but soon your strength will feel natural."
