Chapter 345 - Chapter 347: Resource Acquired +1

Chapter 347: Resource Acquired +1

By now, Kakashi had exhausted all his options. His strongest move, the Chidori, was already ineffective against Ye Wen, and more complex forbidden jutsu were simply beyond his grasp. With no unique bloodline to sustain him and an eye he couldn't close that constantly drained his chakra, Kakashi's stamina was running low.

For an ordinary fight against weaker enemies, his resources would have sufficed. But here, facing a mysterious figure with power far beyond his own, Kakashi was outmatched.

Ye Wen smirked slightly, almost in admiration. "You really are something, Kakashi Hatake."

A moment later, a powerful shockwave erupted from Ye Wen's body. Kakashi and the other ANBU operatives were thrown backward, colliding with the boundary of the barrier Ye Wen had erected. Fortunately for them, this barrier was designed only to contain, not harm like the Four Violet Flames Formation. Yet, the sheer force still left them bruised and rattled.

The ANBU felt an overwhelming sense of despair; the gap in strength was too vast.

"This guy… he's definitely Kage level or higher."

"This shockwave… It's like nothing I've seen before. Could it be a new Kekkei Genkai?"

"Am I really going to die here? I worked so hard to make it to ANBU…"

Their fear was palpable. These were some of Konoha's best, bound by their loyalty to the Will of Fire. But facing such overwhelming power, their minds churned with worry.

Yet Ye Wen wasn't interested in any of them. He directed his gaze elsewhere toward a massive tree, its roots exposed from the shockwave.

Kakashi, the most resilient of the group, struggled to his feet. Though drained and weakened, he looked in Ye Wen's direction with grim resolve. "What's this guy's real goal?"

While Kakashi watched, Ye Wen raised his hand, and a powerful suction force erupted from his palm.

Instinctively, Kakashi braced himself. But then he realized that Ye Wen wasn't targeting him.

"No stop! Let me go!" a shrill voice cried out. From within the tree, an ethereal white figure began to emerge, drawn out by Ye Wen's mysterious pull.

In Ye Wen's grasp was a strange, pale creature the same twisted being known as White Zetsu, a creation of the Shinju Tree and the Jūbi, used by Kaguya Otsutsuki as disposable soldiers.

Ye Wen examined the bizarre entity in his hand, intrigued. Created by Kaguya Otsutsuki from human bodies to serve as foot soldiers, White Zetsu was part of her twisted legacy. But did she really think soldiers like these, even in vast numbers, could stand against high level Otsutsuki power? Ye Wen found the entire premise absurd.

Scanning White Zetsu's chakra with his divine sense, Ye Wen felt a keen urge to analyze this unique energy source. After all his years conquering various worlds and exploring their power systems, he knew that most cultivation paths were fundamentally reliant on the innate spiritual energy of their worlds.

As he sifted through White Zetsu's chakra, Ye Wen couldn't help but consider its similarities to the soul power and magical energy he had encountered elsewhere. Yet, if the Otsutsuki could easily negate chakra based attacks, could it mean that the same immunity might apply to soul power as well? If so, this would be a substantial problem when engaging them directly.

Better to know your enemy, Ye Wen thought, activating one of his most advanced abilities. "Divine Art: Deconstruction."

Through White Zetsu's chakra, he began to unravel its secrets, dividing its elements with precision. After a while, a smirk formed on his face.

"Well, well good news and bad news."

The good news: there was no immediate threat from chakra. The bad news, however, was that the Otsutsuki weren't mystical cultivators at all they were a technologically advanced civilization cloaked in a mystical facade.

Chakra, Ye Wen found, was indeed derived from the same primordial energy that powered most worlds. It was formed from the user's spiritual and physical energy. But there was an additional element, a foreign substance that subtly altered its nature. Embedded within the chakra structure were microscopic mechanisms far smaller than any nanobot pico sized machines that seemed to be aiding its production.

These mechanisms allowed ninja to tap into chakra with relative ease, but those born without them, the true natives of this world, remained unaffected. Ye Wen recalled something It was Hagoromo, the Sage of Six Paths, who spread the use of chakra after bestowing it upon his disciples. If he was the original source, then every user of chakra has inherited it indirectly.

Ye Wen felt a chill of realization. An entire civilization carrying chakra with a hidden vulnerability, all under Otsutsuki control?

Kaguya's assertion that all chakra belonged to her was starting to make sense. She had implanted within it a system that could, in the wrong hands, control or monitor all who wielded it. This system, engineered by the Otsutsuki, wasn't just a martial art it was a tool for total dominance.

For now, Ye Wen's initial analysis was complete. However, to fully understand the nuances of these pico machines, he would need a lengthy study. As an advanced civilization reliant on planting trees to drain planets, the Otsutsuki were certainly powerful, and their methods hinted at immense technological prowess. To unlock further mysteries, Ye Wen sensed he would need an original source a Jūbi in its purest form.
