Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: Hiring Teachers

Chapter 58: Hiring Teachers

The highly coveted training environment of Tianxing Advanced Soul Master Academy had caught the attention of every major faction across the Douluo Continent. Although Blue Silver Grass grew abundantly, it rarely transformed into a spirit beast, making it difficult for others to replicate Ye Wen's mimicry forest. Attempting to seize the academy's resources by force was out of the question no one dared challenge an institution sanctioned jointly by both empires and Spirit Hall. To make an enemy of Ye Wen was to incur the wrath of all three powers, and that would surely end in a relentless pursuit.

In a gesture of goodwill, Ye Wen gifted three Blue Silver Trees, each over 5,000 years old, to each of the three major powers and suggested they gather a collection of century old Blue Silver Vines to create their own smaller mimicry environments. Both imperial rulers were thrilled with this life extending treasure after all, who wouldn't desire a longer life? Only Qian Xunji remained indifferent, for with his near Super Douluo strength, his life expectancy already reached 300 years. Still, Ye Wen's thoughtfulness pleased him, reassuring him that Ye Wen was no ingrate.

As the opening of Tianxing Academy approached, an increasing number of high level commoner soul masters flocked to the academy grounds, bringing prosperity to the nearby cities of Hanhai in the Heaven Dou Empire and Canglan in Star Luo Empire.

However, the search for soul masters with gravity type soul abilities, ideal for training students in resilience, proved challenging. Thus far, Ye Wen had found only three such soul masters:

Niu Sanshi, a 65th level Soul Emperor with the Earth Barbarian Bull martial soul;

Tie Man, a 68th level Soul Emperor with the Ironclad Rhinoceros martial soul; and

Lu Feng, a 78th level Soul Sage with the Taipan Rock Python martial soul.

Niu Sanshi and Tie Man were true commoners who, through luck and hard work, inherited mutated versions of family martial souls and managed to break into the world of soul masters. As for Lu Feng, he had been introduced by Dugu Bo, their families being old friends. Initially skeptical of the position, Lu Feng changed his mind after witnessing Ye Wen's expertise and ultimately joined as the academy's Dean of Instruction and an Honorary Dean, alongside Dugu Bo.

Ye Wen had been hoping to recruit at least one high level healing type soul master, but given their rarity and high demand, he had low expectations. Surprisingly, he found Fang Fei, a 30 something Soul King with the Linglong Flower martial soul, a high grade plant type spirit. After a brief inquiry, Ye Wen learned that she was a commoner, though her spirit rings were optimally configured, suggesting she had lived a prosperous life before joining the academy. Her fifth skill, Fragrant Healing, radiated an aura that not only soothed and uplifted, but also swiftly restored energy and healed wounds within a 200 square meter radius. Under Ah Yin's domain influence, her healing capacity would likely be even greater.

Several other high level soul masters applied, hoping to teach at Tianxing Academy, but Ye Wen declined their applications for now, explaining that the academy wasn't yet ready for their skill types. Accepting their contact information for potential future needs, Ye Wen left these commoner soul masters with a sense of respect and inclusion, which only raised their admiration for him.

By the time the school year approached, Ye Wen had recruited a modest but capable teaching staff of eleven instructors, though he found no additional healing soul masters. Out of a planned 20 instructors, only 11 met the academy's rigorous standards, further emphasizing the scarcity of commoner soul masters with high level abilities. Nevertheless, Ye Wen took comfort in the quality of those he had chosen, each possessing valuable expertise.

From these eleven teachers, nine were Soul Emperors, and two were Soul Kings, with Lu Feng as the only Soul Sage. This small but elite team would serve as the academy's foundational teaching staff, ready to pass down their knowledge and ensure student safety.

To prepare, Ye Wen held a series of planning meetings with his new staff, sharing his curriculum plan and expectations. The teachers were thrilled when they saw the extensive materials Ye Wen provided, which contained in depth information typically withheld in other academies. Ye Wen also personally crafted detailed cultivation plans for each teacher's own children, who had recently begun training in spirit power.

While the teachers were eager to have Ye Wen personally instruct their children, he explained that his current roster of eight disciples already occupied much of his time. Although regretful, the teachers understood Ye Wen's limited availability, and they left grateful for his personalized guidance on their children's paths. With the plans in hand, they set to work eagerly preparing for the academy's opening day.
