Xinya and her group of five moved to the side of a heavy metal door on the seventh floor. "It seems to be locked. How do we open it?" Saiying asked. The group pondered for a while until Jesse came up with an idea: "Let's find a place to hide, watch for people entering and leaving, and subdue one to get the code." Everyone agreed, and they hid in the emergency stairwell nearby.
After a while, the metal door opened, and someone walked out. Jesse and two residents seized the opening, pounced, and instantly restrained him. "Tell us! Who's inside, and what's the entry code!" A resident held a knife to his neck while Jesse threatened him. The staff member crumbled immediately and told them the truth. After questioning, the resident knocked him out with the hilt of his blade. "It seems there's another guard inside. Charging in blindly might cause a stir," Xinya analyzed.
"Let's arrange it this way: a pincer movement. I'll disguise myself as a cleaner to go in and probe, then trick him into coming out. You guys wait outside the door and subdue him when he exits," Xinya laid out her plan. "Fine, we'll do as you say!" Jesse had the two residents take up positions. Xinya carefully entered the password, and the metal door opened as expected. She stepped inside slowly and was shocked by the scene before her: several prison-like rooms filled with children. She desperately suppressed her emotions, acting as if she were just cleaning. "How did you get in here?" the guard sitting nearby asked, seeing Xinya.
"The boss said there's a strong smell here and asked me to clean it up. It's just a bunch of brats; they're bound to have a weird smell," Xinya replied agilely. "Hmph, good point. I'm sick of guarding these little bastards all day. Fine, I'm going to the restroom. You'd better clean it well," the guard said and walked out. The moment he stepped out of the metal door, he was knocked unconscious by an iron bar waiting for him.
The group quickly entered the room, stunned by the scene. "So it really was them! These children are so pitiful~" Saiying said angrily. Everyone grabbed electronic keys from the desk and opened the cells one by one. "Don't be afraid, we're here to save you~" Xinya comforted the children as they walked out of the cells. Encouraged by everyone, the children relaxed and stepped out. Saiying did a headcount—28 children in total, including those kidnapped from their district. How were they going to handle so many kids? The small truck might not be enough. Saiying was worried. "Get them out of here first!" Xinya commanded. They led the children out through the emergency exit. Unfortunately, before they could get far, they heard shouting for an arrest. It seemed they had been discovered.
"Search every inch of the building! Block all exits!" someone shouted outside. "Damn it, I didn't think we'd be discovered so fast," Saiying worried. "Luckily, we're not far from the exit now. Let's hurry!" Xinya replied while running. Just as the children and adults were about to leave the building, the accident happened.
"There they are!" The pursuit team from inside the building caught up. Two residents guarding the rear picked up their weapons to tangle with them. "You take the kids and go!" Xinya pushed Jesse away, and the electric gate of the emergency exit slowly descended. "Xinya, Saiying!" Jesse shouted helplessly while holding onto the children. He couldn't hesitate anymore, or else everyone, including the children, would be captured. He hurried the children to the nearby truck. The small truck was packed with 28 children. "Uncle, take these kids back first. If we don't come back, rely on you to notify the captain. Go!" Jesse told the driver to leave first, while he stayed behind to find a way to save the others. Inside the building, Xinya and the other three were ultimately outnumbered and captured. Ruta and Qili, hidden in the shadows, remained in hiding, waiting for a new rescue opportunity.
Just then, the owner of Wolfs, Bǐngxiē'ěr Wòfúsī, returned. "What's going on inside?" seeing the building sealed off and alarms blaring, he couldn't help but ask. "Report, Boss. A group infiltrated the headquarters and took those children. We are currently searching for them," his subordinate ran out to report. "What!?" Bǐngxiē'ěr Wòfúsī sped up his pace and entered to inspect.
Inside headquarters, seeing Xinya and the four others bound, Bǐngxiē'ěr Wòfúsī looked at their staff uniforms and issued orders: "Catch everyone in the building wearing service uniforms, not one left. Search every corner carefully!" His subordinates spread out through the building. Not long after, the trails of Ruta and Qili were found. As they prepared to escape, Ruta was shot and wounded, so the two were forced to surrender. Looking at Xinya and the others who refused to answer, "It doesn't matter if you don't speak. I have my own ways to make you talk," Bǐngxiē'ěr Wòfúsī sneered and ordered his subordinates to send the six of them to the holding cells.
