When they stepped out of the comfort room, she did not care about the scandalized gasp that followed them.
She heard it, felt it brush her skin like heat, but she did not stop, did not slow, shame flushing her face even as her only thought was escape, distance, air. She kept her head down and leaned closer to him, fingers curling into his sleeve.

Nicky smirked immediately, the look lazy and satisfied, and he did not answer her with words. He just tightened his grip on her hand and pulled her with him.
As they passed their table, she glanced back once, unable to help it, and caught Val mid gesture, pointing them out openly to the others, already laughing. Eliana lifted her hand in a small, shy wave, mortified and smiling at the same time, knowing exactly what they all thought, knowing there was no undoing it now.
And maybe that was fine.
