Chapter 21 - Visiting the Villa

Ryan didn't have to wait long as the village chief quickly finished his work and hurried over to him.

"Now I'm completely free. Are you ready to follow me and see the villa, or do you want to inform your grandfather before heading there? "The village chief asked.

"No, I have come here after informing my grandfather. Will it take a long time to go and return from the villa?" Ryan asked in doubt.

"No, but the villa was not in use for a long time, and the doors were made from different metals, which will take time to open them manually." The chief informed.

"Even for such a mighty warrior, it takes time to open them?" Ryan was astonished and began to think how sturdy doors must be.

The chief said yes and asked Ryan to follow him as he began walking in the direction of the fields.

Ryan found the path somewhat familiar but didn't think much of it and followed the chief's footsteps. However, when they changed direction and started walking towards the valley where he had been practicing spells for the past ten days, Ryan felt a huge storm in his heart.

Soon, they arrived at the mouth of the valley where he usually practiced his spells. The chief observed that the area was unusually flat, with no rocks or grass on the ground.

"What creature has disturbed the ground here? I placed a heavy rock to block the valley passage and prevent anyone from entering, but even that is gone," the chief growled in anger.

"Chief, don't get angry. Maybe the bandits have come here in search of a hideout until they get the signal to attack us. "Ryan blamed the things he has done on the hateful bandits who have broken into his house without any stiff expression on his face.

"The chief contemplated for few seconds and hastened his steps towards to check the Villa if anyone has demolished the front gate and got inside.

They ventured deep into the valley, a place Ryan had always avoided because of rumors of dangerous beasts lurking in the area.

"Chief, my grandfather told me there are dangerous beasts in the valley. Why don't I see any of them now?" Ryan asked, confused.

"Well, my family spread the rumors to keep the villagers from visiting this place for the past thousand years. It has become a myth in our village where the older generation will say that to the children from going to unfamiliar places. "

"Even those who were interested were put off by the huge boulder I placed at the entrance, which is now gone," the chief grumbled.

Ryan felt embarrassed whenever the chief mentioned the boulder, which was used as a spell practice substitute, so he consciously shut his mouth and followed the chief silently.

The chief didn't notice Ryan's expression as he was busy clearing the weeds that had grown in front of him while making his way to the villa.

In a few minutes, Ryan and the village chief came to the villa, which they were going to check, and saw a huge mansion appear in front of him.

"Chief, I heard you say small villa. I don't see any small villas here at all, I think it is a castle that can accommodate at least a thousand people in here in here. What is such a big castle doing in the wild where no one is around? "Ryan exclaimed in a loud voice.

"Well, you haven't seen the capital of our empire. It was much grander, with many villas that were much bigger than this one and could accommodate thousands when needed."

"Compared to them, this is too small, and there are no valuables in the villa except it is sturdy and was built a thousand years ago."

No one showed interest in buying this villa, even when we asked to buy it cheap for just one year of grain from them during our food shortages caused by droughts.

Until my father's generation, we used to send the villagers to clean it regularly and leave the castle alone for the rest of the year, but the servants who stayed one day in the castle used to feel unlucky for the rest of the week.

There won't be any favorable decisions comes in their Favour in that one week, many even lost lives when they went away from the village due to various accidents.

So, in my generation, I forbid anyone from entering the valley and have blocked the path leading to it with a huge boulder as a precaution.

You see, I don't want the castle to stay empty without any use for the rest of my life, and I don't know any cultivators who can come to the village and check if there is any problem in the castle.

Two years ago, I informed the girl about this matter, but she found nothing and struck down my worries as blind beliefs, but I believe there is for sure something messing with us.

You can see the castle and see if you can find anything that's messing with us from my ancestors' generations and decide whether to buy this or just keep it unoccupied for the rest of my life.

While saying this, the village chief opened the castle gates and welcomed Ryan to enter the castle. Ryan gave a wry smile and said the young miss who came to our village is a foundation-established cultivator, whereas he has just entered the path of cultivation, he doesn't have confidence that he can find something that a foundation realm expert couldn't find.

While explaining to the chief about the cultivation realm, Ryan entered the castle garden.

As soon as Ryan entered the castle garden, the fortune cauldron in his soul began feeling restless, which alerted Ryan, and it began asking him to meditate at the castle center so it could eat some delicious food by absorbing through him.

Although Ryan didn't understand what the delicious food meant, he acted like nothing had happened and followed the village chief to see the entire castle.

The entrance of the castle has a huge lawn with overgrown weeds on both sides of the paved stone path, which was the main path into the castle.

The path leads to a tall rectangular building surrounding the castle on four sides, and the building contains many rooms for the guests and the servants to stay.

Then there is another Graden where the castle owner can plant his Favorite plants for viewing from the castle and the side buildings which surround it.

At the prime center of all this lays a grand castle built with pristine white stone, which looked like it was carved out of a mountain from top to bottom.

Ryan was mesmerized by its beauty and decided to buy the castle after sightseeing it, but first decided to find out what was attracting the fortune cauldron in the castle.
