He sat still on the cold terrace stone, the moonlight casting a pale glow over his form as the ocean murmured far below. He closed his eyes and sank inward, drawing his awareness into his body. The difference was immediate.
The first big noticeable change was that the pain that tormented him had significantly reduced. He had no idea what the old man did, but this alone was a great help. At least now he was able to think better.
