The Straw Hats took a short break on the island before setting sail again. Aokiji and Gildarts, who had become friendly, also departed. Aokiji took over Gildarts' job of escorting the refugees, since he was a Marine.

Gildarts said goodbye to Ikki and got on his boat. "Hey, Gildarts," Ikki called out. "If you're about to get beaten to death by Kaido, just shout that you're a private Marine!"

Gildarts didn't understand, but he waved to show he got it and sailed away.

Soon after, Ikki saw a giant frog swimming in the sea. "It's Yokozuna!" he exclaimed.

Luffy also spotted the massive frog. "Full speed ahead, Merry! Let's catch that freestyling frog!" he yelled. The ship's spirit, sensing Luffy's will, sped up to chase the frog.

The Merry got closer and closer to Yokozuna, but the frog's swimming speed also increased. Captain America held a net, ready to catch it, while Kakashi prepared his Chidori to use a stun-fishing technique. Luffy's approach was much simpler: he just stretched out his arms to grab it.

Just as Luffy's long arm reached for Yokozuna, the frog dodged and positioned itself on the sea train tracks, its eyes filled with determination. A moment later, a whistle sounded, followed by a loud rumbling. A sea train was heading straight for Yokozuna.

"Frog, get out of the way!" Luffy yelled.

Yokozuna glanced at Luffy, then held his arms out, preparing to fight the sea train head-on. As expected, the frog lost the battle and was sent flying. Luffy searched the water, but couldn't find it. Ikki, however, had already spotted Yokozuna floating on the surface in the distance using his Observation Haki. He flew over, caught the frog, and brought it back to the Merry.

Luffy, surprisingly, wasn't thinking about eating the frog. He wanted to know why it was fighting the train. "Chopper, check on this frog!" he said.

Chopper grabbed his medical kit and examined Yokozuna. "He's fine," he said after a moment. "He's just unconscious. He'll be okay."

"Then what are all those injuries from?" Luffy asked.

"Those are from years of him challenging the sea trains," a new voice replied.

Luffy was confused. "Wait, who just answered me?"

Everyone on the ship was startled. An old woman, who looked like a monster, was suddenly on the deck with them. "Where did you come from, old lady?" Usopp asked.

"Hahaha, my name is Kokoro," she said, taking a swig from a bottle. "You can call me Granny Kokoro. I'm the station master over there," she said, pointing to a station not far behind them. "Oh, by the way... do you have any more booze?" she asked, shaking her empty bottle.

Granny Kokoro had come to the Merry to make sure the Straw Hats didn't eat Yokozuna. In her eyes, the frog was her friend and family. She was a mermaid, which was how she had snuck onto the ship unnoticed.

Luffy wasn't as nervous about her as the others were. He was more concerned about the frog. As he was staring at it, Yokozuna slowly opened its eyes and croaked.

Chopper, serving as a translator, interpreted, "It's asking, 'Where is this?'"

"This is my ship, frog! Come be my nakama!" Luffy said.

Yokozuna croaked again, and Chopper translated, "It says, 'Who would want to be a pirate with you? I am a yokozuna.'"

"Oh, so your name is Yokozuna!" Luffy said.

Granny Kokoro, who had successfully gotten a bottle of sake from Zoro, walked over. "You might as well give up. Yokozuna won't leave this place."

"Why not?" Luffy asked.

"Because the man who built the sea train, his master, was killed after building it," she explained. "And his best friend also died on the train. So, Yokozuna has decided to challenge the sea train until it can finally defeat it."

Luffy was more determined than ever to make the frog his crewmate, but Yokozuna jumped back into the sea and swam away with his signature freestyle. Luffy was a little disappointed.

The Going Merry soon arrived at the station. At the entrance stood a little girl and a rabbit that looked like a cat. The girl's name was Chimney, and the cat-rabbit's name was Gonbe.

"Grandma, grandma, did you get some booze?" Chimney asked as her grandmother stepped off the pirate ship.

Granny Kokoro had been half-asleep from drinking, but seeing a figure fly out of the ship and return with Yokozuna in hand had sobered her right up. She had grabbed a bottle of wine and jumped into the sea to save him.

"Haha! I'm back, and with a rare bottle of good wine!" Granny Kokoro laughed.

Chimney cheered. "Grandma, you said pirates were scary! But these big brothers and sisters don't seem scary at all!"

"Hahaha, there are good pirates and bad ones! We can't lump them all together," Granny Kokoro said. "And just because a ship has a skull and crossbones flag doesn't mean they're pirates. They could be Marines!"

Ikki was momentarily speechless at her words, remembering the Marines in Marineford who flew the Jolly Roger. He thought of Garp, the unreliable old man who was leading them.
