The three ship manifests that Ikki had were considered the most stable. To protect his ship, which was full of booze, Zoro stood on the deck with a wine bottle in one hand and his sword in the other.
He didn't hesitate to slice any ship that dared to come near his, cutting them in two. Soon, no one even dared to approach Zoro's ship. Chopper and Merry were in charge of steering. With Zoro clearing the way, his yacht, which he named the "Drunkard," made excellent progress.
The battleship manned by Usopp, Nami, and Sanji was even more ruthless. Using the combat boat's machine guns, rocket launchers, and torpedoes, Usopp accurately sank every ship that came close, leaving them no chance to retaliate.
Meanwhile, the submarine with Ikki, Luffy, and Mr. 2 Bon Clay was completely silent, as if it didn't even exist.
Outside the court, Foxy was stunned as he watched his crew's ships sink one by one, especially the combat boat's firepower, which was comparable to a standard Marine warship.
The commentators were just as excited and began to stir up the crowd. "Oh, the Straw Hats are so despicable! They're using so many destructive weapons," one shouted. "This was supposed to be a kayaking race, but they've turned it into a battle royale!"
"But what a shame," the other host added. "This kind of behavior doesn't violate the rules! It just makes the game more exciting and fun!"
The crowd on the viewing platform erupted in cheers. Most of the Foxy Pirates had been won by Foxy in a previous Davy Back Fight and had no real loyalty to him. Hamburg, who stood behind Foxy, started snickering when he saw his crew's ships being sunk.
Foxy ignored Hamburg's laughter and raised his hands, unleashing his Slow-Slow Fruit ability. "Slow-Slow Beam!" he yelled, and a pink beam shot toward the ships. The Slow-Slow Fruit's power affects anything it hits, slowing it down for thirty seconds.
The ships of Zoro and Usopp were instantly hit, and they, along with the crew, began moving in slow motion. The pirates who had been too afraid to approach them finally had their chance. They paddled furiously, not wanting to waste a single second of the thirty-second window. If they didn't escape the Straw Hats' firepower within that time, they knew they'd be sunk for good.
Just as they were desperately paddling, a submarine suddenly emerged from the water near the finish line. Ikki, Luffy, and Mr. 2 popped out. Everyone's eyes widened. When someone reaches the finish line, the game is over.
The commentators, after a moment of stunned silence, finally reacted. "Congratulations to the Straw Hats! Ikki, Luffy, and Mr. 2 have reached the finish line! The winner of the first game is the Straw Hats!"
Hearing this, Foxy fell to his knees in defeat while Hamburg continued to giggle behind him.
After the game, Luffy made sure the old man from Long Ring Long Land got his horse back.
Next was the second game: a Groggy Ring match. The goal of this game was to put the "ball" in the opponent's goal. However, in this case, the ball was one of the players. The teams for the Straw Hats were Zoro, Sanji, and Ikki.
Foxy's team consisted of Hamburg, Big Pan, and Pickles. Hamburg was already huge, but Big Pan was a giant ten-meter-tall fish-man, and Pickles was also several meters tall, even bigger than Hamburg.
Sanji and Big Pan were chosen to be the players to be put into the goals. When Vivi and Nami saw Big Pan, they were shocked. How could anyone possibly get a body that big into a basket?
"Hahaha! Sanji, Zoro, Ikki, you can do it!" Luffy cheered while eating. He was sure they would win.
In the arena, the referee tossed a coin. Ikki handed two jelly beans to Zoro and Sanji.
"What's this?" Zoro asked curiously.
"The other team is using their size to win, right? So we'll use ours to beat them," Ikki said.
Sanji lit a cigarette and smirked. "I was thinking you'd use that shrinking flashlight of yours to make them smaller."
"That's a good idea too!" Ikki said.
The Hamburg trio had no idea what the Straw Hats were planning. They were still mocking them and their size. They had never lost a game because their size advantage was simply too great; no one could ever knock Big Pan down.
The game started, and the three giants charged forward. At the same time, Ikki, Zoro, and Sanji popped the jelly beans into their mouths. They started to grow instantlyâtwo meters, four meters, eight meters, sixteen meters, thirty-two meters, sixty-four meters... one hundred and twenty-eight meters! The three of them had turned into giants over a hundred meters tall. They were ten times the size of the giant fish-man, Big Pan.
The crowd stared, completely dumbfounded.
"Referee! They're cheating! They're on drugs!" Foxy yelled.
The referee just shrugged. "Captain Foxy, there's nothing in the rules that says no drugs are allowed."
Foxy was speechless.
The Hamburg trio were the most desperate. They were counting on their size to win, but now the Straw Hats were even bigger. How were they supposed to play the game now?
Zoro lowered his massive head and flicked Hamburg and Pickles away with his fingers. Ikki then moved forward and caught Big Pan, who was trying to escape. The ten-meter-tall fish-man was like a toy in Ikki's hands. Big Pan had some catfish blood in him, and his body was covered in disgusting slime.
"Gross!" Ikki said as he grabbed Big Pan and dunked his head into the basket. After the first goal, Ikki didn't hear a whistle, so he grabbed Big Pan again and dunked him several more times.
Finally, the referee came to his senses and blew the whistle, declaring the Straw Hats the winners. If Ikki had kept dunking, Big Pan probably wouldn't have survived.
